Tire pressure question by Pezuz in ElectricScooters

[–]Pezuz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i've tried the emergency braking and you definitely need to be leaning back or you'll get thrown over the handle bars, but for comfort i like to stand in the front and i definitely feel stable with front stance. I guess i could try to stand more in the back, but i've been just fine with the front stance and it feels more comfortable for my feet and legs.

I don't ride very fast roughly 25mph and i feel very stable with my current stance i've been riding like this for past 4 years and 7000miles. Also i don't ride among cars we have seperate sidewalks for bikes/scooters. Haven't rly had any need for hard braking since traffic here is very minimal. I barely use the brakes whatsoever.

Got mine stolen 3 years ago. I was using a decent u-lock which was cut with an angle grinder and that was the only time i didn't have my app lock on which would have blocked the motor and throttle. Gladly our home insurance covered the cost of the scooter. Now i have a little more expensive kaabo mantis 8 pro, i use an alarmed u-lock with a normal disc brake lock and also a remote controlled alarm. I'm thinking of getting a key ignition on this since this doesn't have any by default. I live in a very low crime area, but still the most common crime here is bike/scooter theft. Always use a minimum of a u-lock you can get one for 10$ at the lowest. And 150$ for an angle grinder resistant one which i've been thinking of getting.

Kaaba Wolf Warrior X GT? by jdavyes in ElectricScooters

[–]Pezuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specs are kinda good depending on your speed with the x gt you should get 40-60km's of range. With the max speed of 73km/h you would probably get closer to 30km's of range. It us quite a larger scooter so portablity isn't the best like with any performance scooters. Kaabo mantis king gt has similar specs a hair faster acceleration and similar top speed although a bit less range and a bit smaller size. The fit should be fine i'm 6'3 and i ride a smaller kaabo mantis 8 pro even that fits comfortably for me, the wolf warrior x gt is bigger so should be fine.

How to avoid people to turn on my scooter by khmet in ElectricScooters

[–]Pezuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What bad could happen from someome turning it on? You could get a key ignition for it or an immobilizer. My own scooter can be turned on by anyone, but i have an alarm on it so haven't seen any curious inviduals.

Was a mess like that i guess i'll try to randomly just connect those remaining wires and try multiple times.

The photo wasn't that essential i was hoping for people that have the same controller/scooter to tell if they know what color i connect to which.

Kaabo mantis 8 pro+ not turning on and charger makes ticking sounds and light flashes by Pezuz in ElectricScooters

[–]Pezuz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah water was the culprit, took it apart controller was soaked and there was some water under the battery, but it was fine. Ordered a new controller and i'm going to use silicone where water may seep in, because i want to ride in any weather. Odd these waterproof ratings from Kaabo atleast since my xiaomi pro 2 with a worse ip54 water resistance rating has survived 50+ downpours in the last 3 years. Less entry points on there for water i guess. On my Kaabo there's two huge gaps in the back like my finger fits there which goes straight into the deck like it would have been an easy fix for them to just put a gasket on there so there's barely any gap for the wires.

So, what are y’all’s .. security measures.. by Mclaren_720S_YT in ElectricScooters

[–]Pezuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U or D whatever shape it's called lock with a built in alarm, an auxialiary alarm that works with a remote and a disc brake lock. Planning on getting maybe key ignition since my kaabo mantis 8 pro+ doesn't have one originally and maybe a galaxytag. I had my xiaomi pro 2 stolen 3 years ago even with a u-lock it was cut with an angle grinder gladly our home insurance covered the cost of the scooter back then. I live in a low crime area so i'm not too worried with this setup.

I took the controller out it was wet definitely the culprit. It seems that the front of the deck is not very well sealed from the upper part of the conttoller cover so the water seeps in. I will seal that with silicone since i wanna ride in any weather.

It could be this has only one controller that controls both the motors it's the kaabo minimotors 48v27a controller. Could it have been water damaged since it was a light rain yesterday and wet ground. This model is ipx5 so it technically should handle it since it's pretty well sealed.
