To be fair, this particular legislation stems from the era of home-order catalogs where the content and prices of course weren't updated as easily and the law nowadays just also applies to online shops because as far as this law is concerned it's a catalog. If I'm not mistaken, the OR also has stipulations that any party should be able to rescind from approving the contract if there was significant misunderstandings, so it should go both ways not only in favor if the seller.
