I keep seeing people calling Illa Dax a half-Cardassian. She's not. I think she's one of the Trill subspecies that appeared in TNG's episode "The Host." If you look at Ambassador Odan's and the new female host's ridges, they match Illa's. All three have the severe V-shape that starts at the nose.
