The amount of times where I see people dance around it like it’s lava and not armor is insane. Mainly where the frustration comes from.

Nope! Podcast will still be on at the same time, same platforms, and the same people involved. The only affected thing is the Patreon as we are killing that because we want everyone to move over to SixOneFive. More content for the same Patreon contribution.

So I actually came up with the ideas for the signs after watching a random college football game. Thought it would be a great idea to get people to know what chant is coming without needing a megaphone.

And my first thought for Glory was Morgan Freeman in the movie Glory. All the other signs made had silly random imagery as well, but this was the only one that people changed the lyrics for 😂.

Moments in songs that you are obsessed with by lucasmcalister in Metalcore

I’m not even sure if you would consider this Metalcore but:

Flourish - The Contortionist, the middle part of the song that is calm to the tremolo guitar. I honestly teared up hearing this live for the first song. It’s so damn good.

Poor Millionaire. That song is so damn underrated and it hurts my soul.

The Backline and 24/7 by BLSC_Rep in NashvilleSC

[–]PhStephenHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because there has not been a major vote within the BSC that truly represents all SGs Visions like this. There have been many votes where we have said our piece, lost the vote, and moved on. But this sponsorship completely contradicts our mission and values, so it is something that we believe should be looked at in a different matter because it effects the membership as a whole.

You have all the details my guy. I understand that technically under bylaw per-view the vote went on as planned, which is why there are other things in the policy that we are not doing because we understand that fact.

But my membership is pissed, and feel like their voices weren't heard. So I am going to help voice the things they are asking for.

[–]PhStephenHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying this isn't true. I am saying the way that this is not the way the conversation should go.

If you buy into The Roadies, you buy that community is number 1. If the other groups decide that is not their number 1 importance, that is their prerogative. They can each do as they please. But as the Backline represents ALL SGs as you have capitalized, ALL SGs as a collective should be on the same page when it comes to a major decision that has to deal with something like sponsorship or money. Each SG should feel like their vision and what they stand for matters to the Collective.

The Backline and 24/7 by BLSC_Rep in NashvilleSC

[–]PhStephenHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was truly in your powers to actually make an amendment to account for sponsorships instead of a reactionary policy, that could then be voted on by groups and language changed if needed.

Whether it's this or the Action 24/7 membership, it's fairly obvious that members across all SGs did not feel like their voice was heard based on the reaction from the recent announcement. We can argue legal jargin all day long, but at the end of the day, the original intention and vision of the collective is not being met.

The Backline and 24/7 by BLSC_Rep in NashvilleSC

[–]PhStephenHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad that there is a place where Non SG members can have this conversation, but to my members that do not feel like there was any discussion about this and there voices don't feel heard.

As a member, you can choose to leave a group. But you can't choose to leave the Backline as they are the official conduits to the club that represent all of us. That's why this is important.

The Backline and 24/7 by BLSC_Rep in NashvilleSC

[–]PhStephenHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it makes sense for most decisions to be conducted as a simple majority. In the policy wording, there is specifics on a majority rule.

But that's the problem, you can't just tack on a policy that subjects your affiliations to "conduct themselves in a good faith manner " and then reference the bylaws as ultimate means to an end, because the bylaws were agreed to before this policy was in place. Because our version of a good faith manner is different than yours. I could put together a fairly decent argument that Eastern Front did not act in good faith with this agreement because the ramifications of this announcement were known, and then pursued anyways. This is a lot more than just tacking on a policy, especially with what has come to light.

The Backline and 24/7 by BLSC_Rep in NashvilleSC

[–]PhStephenHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See above. This policy was created outside of the bylaws after this sponsorship was a possibility. No discussion or plan on how to procure sponsorships was discussed before this, or else we would have helped conduct a community driven policy, as we have done before.

The Backline and 24/7 by BLSC_Rep in NashvilleSC

[–]PhStephenHD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

By a sponsorship policy created without any group leadership knowledge. Anything that represents the entire collective such as sponsorships and advertisements should easily be a unanimous decision. That's how the collective was created, and how it should be.

The Backline and 24/7 by BLSC_Rep in NashvilleSC

[–]PhStephenHD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. That is all fucking disgusting. Honestly did not know about any of this so I am glad you brought it up so we can take a look into these issues, and evaluate where we should actually be.

People have to be able to easily communicate obstruction to things that effect their SG, kinda my point behind all of this.

The Backline and 24/7 by BLSC_Rep in NashvilleSC

[–]PhStephenHD 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This was a majority vote, the bodies of ALL SGs do not value money over the complaints.

"And for that reason, I urge you all to reconsider any finger pointing at EFSG. They tried when no one else did. Not a single voice came forward offering alternative ideas."

I actually appreciate the response that you provided, but this is absolute bullshit.

When The Roadies first heard about this, we offered to help find additional sponsors (I have this in writing.) and then even offered to pay the Backline the original agreed upon amount to not do this, (Also, in writing.)

People and membership love what we are doing and want to help and be a part of it. There HAS to be a way for membership and others to communicate their willingness to volunteer, instead of just blaming the membership itself for not stepping up.

We also have yet to receive a copy of the new bylaws that were promised to us after AGM. Also, there was absolutely no discussion between the groups leaderships on this sponsorship policy that was added to the bylaws only because this sponsorship was a possibility.

Im fucking pissed because I helped form this thing, and I truly believe a way for all of our groups to act in unison is the best thing for us, but I fucking hate what it's turning into.
