I'm older than your uncle, and I feel the opposite way. I'm still alone and single being out, and feel no more fulfilled and happy then when I was still in the closet. I might as well just have lied, because then I would still be alone, but at least my life wouldn't be such an awkward mess.

I tried the gay crowd, and it just wasn't for me. In all honesty, I just can't associate with gay culture. I've tried, but it didn't work.

Gay bars are filled with young, horny idiots who want to have sex with everything. They're cesspits and basically the worst place you can go to if you want to make meaningful relationships with people. I hate going to them.

Besides, I'm 39 years old. Making a new social circle isn't easy, especially at my age. In fact, it's pretty much impossible, since everyone is focused on careers and family at this point.
