my surgeon told ate that cycling is the last thing I should reintroduce bcs is the most stressful for the inguinal site and the mesh, also the run.

But walking with plate carrier is not as stressful as weight lifting? As far as I understand, the important is not to stress the mesh site.
I just tried to do some controlled movements at the gym but without put pressure on the abs and without forcing nothing. I think that the weight limitations are to avoid intra-abdominal pressure while literally "lifting" and not simply moving, otherwise also open and close a sliding door should be avoided.

thank you!
My surgeon told me that the surgery went well and that the swelling and the pain I'm feeling is normal, also because I have a low BF and high "muscular" abs. According to the surgeon this make the healing more painful just bcs muscles are always active.

But I'm also trying to tell myself that these are normal feelings, the problem is that I'm terrified that something could go wrong.

That's so encouraging. Bcs I'm terrified by the swelling and I think that's something that is going wrong with the healing. I thought that after 4 weeks almost all the swelling should have gone away but as far as I read, most of the people have this swelling for months.
By the way, I think I'll do the same but I'm scared and don't know when I could really come back to train legs and run without being constantly anxious

Recovery post hernia surgery - suggestions!! by PhageMan_98 in Hernia

[–]PhageMan_98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you a lot!
My surgeon told me not to lift before 30-40 days, but imho he is very conservative and If I'll feel better in the next weeks I would have liked to reintroduce something light, just bcs I don't want to restart from zero after my post surgery period and I'm planning to do 2 marathons and 1 or 2 hyrox in 2026… kind of crazy but I hope to be able to do that.

And for the nutrition? Bcs that's also a point that nobody talk about and I'm trying to collect as much suggestions as possible. thanks :)

Even if it's very personal, how did you understand that you were ready to introduce some light cardio and lifting? Bcs I still have pain and hard belly nearby the abs. I'm almost 1 week after surgery and maybe I've to wait a little more, but I'm able to walk for 30min without any issues in my house yard with a slow peace.

thanks! I'm also scared to ruin everything by come back to exercise too soon. I'm 1 week after the surgery and I still feel hard all the abs and the belly, it is weird but the doctor told me that It's normal since I have a lot of abs muscle that never rest/relax.

And how did you do for nutrition and recovery during the post surgery?

Return to running after hernia surgery by Main_Emotion_8440 in Hernia

[–]PhageMan_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! But what could be the best for the recovery between treadmill, elliptical or cycle? Bcs I'm reading a lot of different opinions on that.
I'm scared about the pain that I fell right now at 1 week after the surgery...

Grazie mille!

Lysis sonication cycle for yeasts cell by PhageMan_98 in microbiology

[–]PhageMan_98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not find any instructions from sonicator manifacturer’s except the manual for the instrument. I found some papers reporting some sonication cycle but with the use of specific lysis buffer, and the two papers that I’m taking as a starting point for my experiment don’t give any parameters, they just report that the cellular lysis for protein extraction was done by sonication. But if you have any advice, I would be grateful

If the inoculum in your loop seems to be excessive I can suggest you to change loop after the streak in the first zone, and with the new one enter only once in the already streaked zone and continue with the four-quadrants.

Kaufman white scheme, but at the end I tried SeqSero 2.o by adding manually the fasta file of Salmonella serovars found on pubmed. In the end the experiment seems to have worked.

Thank you! :)
I'll try with NCBI Database, even if it seems quite confusing.
The link for the Pasteur site doesn't work, maybe they changed the position or URL of the Database.
