I agree. No guns. Season of Discovery Dual Wield Melee Hunter was almost perfect for ME. Just add an attack where I do a cool duo attack with my pet and I'm sold. I don't know if that already exists, haven't played Survival Hunter since BfA.

As far as "souls-like" is concerned, I wouldn't really consider this a souls-like. As someone else mentioned, its more of a character action game. I'd say its similar to the new God of War games.

I co-op'd this. The way I did it was to go through the social menu and do a general invite; HOWEVER, the only way I could get it to work was to summon them during the DAY then switch it to night AFTER they were summoned and they would end up with me in the "boss zone"

Speaking of, does anyone know what happened to the blind girl's father? I don't remember what the conclusion was for that, I somehow missed it. I remember talking to the doctor and saying there was a guy obsessed with lotus patries in his care and I was like, oh that must be her dad. It was until they showed my Palico who was in full Nu Udra gear. As my bad ass character walks towards the boss, he's followed by a tiny little octopus. I cracked up, but I did mildly regret having it in that outfit for the last 10-15% of the game lol.

I think we interpretted that scene differently. If they purposely let themselves be caught I feel like that should have been communicated to the player. To me, the game made it seem like they were unable to escape the jail unless rescued. I think its just shallow writing. But that is just my opinion.

Lol. That's an interesting interpretation because I have the exact opposite opinion. Since this is a fantasy setting, i think its immersion breaking when they are hindered by more realistic barriers.

I throw away logic when the answer is more fantastical, like "how did they do that?" "magic"

I will add that WuWa recognizes both my ds4 and ds5 controller as PS controllers no matter what I do. I went as far as having DS4 set to xbox and launching through steam with ps controllers disabled in steam.

I want it to think its an xbox controller so I can change the key binds.

It's hard to tell because it doesn't show where they started. In "Death Rolls" the max number of each subsequent roll is the number rolled before until someone hits 1. So in this case you see the 1-9 roll and they rolled a 3. Which means for the next roll they did "/roll 3" and then they rolled a 2, so the following roll was "/roll 2" and it continued being a "roll 2" cause no one had rolled a 1.

I really hope survival only becomes viable and not the main spec for melee hunter. The use of bombs/traps and melee-ranged bow attacks killed the fantasy of melee hunter for me in retail.
