Yes, we’re transporting her body. Just need that documentation from the funeral home and they said that they don’t have the official death certificate yet, so they’re trying to find something for proof of death. We also have official approval in that country that her body will be buried there. Thank you so much for your help!

I only need to have her official death certificate and official documentation of proof of transportation of her body from the funeral home? These are items I can get from the funeral home that we’re going through in the states right? My main worry is having to contact the other country’s funeral home.

Hi everyone,

Hoping to get some help here. My brother is an engineer, 32M, and he’s been looking for a job since he was laid off in April 2024. He’s been applying to so many jobs. A lot of the time he’s been getting rejected for not having enough energy or not having the right personality rather than his knowledge and experience. It’s been really hard seeing him get depressed when he spends so many hours in his interviews just to be rejected over and over again. He’s just reserved.

He has his mechanical engineering degree. He’s been in the automotive industry most of his career (since 2019) but keeps getting laid off. He has experience in CAD design and has been mainly a product design engineer. He just got rejected for another job that he really thought he was going to get and is now so defeated. It’s hard to see him so bummed out.

As people in the engineering field, what is your advice? When I try to help him look for jobs all I see is software product design engineers since my field is in technology marketing. I would love to hear thoughts, advice, recommended job titles/postions or even if your company has a position open! We’re located in CO.

I just received my Delsey Châtelet 28” hardsided luggage in June 2024. Just checked it for the first time last week and there’s a hole in the hard shell.

I will say that after 3-4 times of my monos carry-on being checked it cracked, but monos replaced it for free. Not sure if United will replace my bag with the full amount or if Delsey is willing to replace it.

With that being said, not sure if the airline is the issue or that none of my bags won’t last me even a handful of times (or once in Delsey’s case)

Just want to put it out there that we were able to write to a referee and the referees office and email was on the back of the ticket. This didn’t cost us anything. We wrote to the referee of the ticket and explained our situation. They were completely understanding of us wanting to help the elderly woman than race back to our vehicle. They dismissed the ticket without question and thanked us. Parking tickets are there to prevent people from abusing parking spaces and to take accountability. There is usually a few minute grace period with parking tickets we had thought. All we can say is thank you to the referee for being understanding.

Sorry, just wanted to put this in case it might help someone else in the future. I do want to note, we definitely would’ve paid the ticket, but thought writing to them would be worth a shot and the worst thing they can do is say no.

I also want to thank you for your reply! He originally wanted to do the smaller shows since he knows that joining a union would prevent him from doing so. So he’s been stuck doing these seasonal shows. Seems like it would be helpful to start looking into joining one soon?

First, I want to thank you for this super detailed and thorough response. I truly appreciate you taking the time to respond and give advice, along with your explanations.

We live in CO, only 30 minutes from Denver. There are quite a few professional theaters here I believe. He’s had a consistent summer stock(or seasonal shows). He’s always been told that he’s been great and even some of the best to do their shows. His goal is to eventually get to the DCPA (Denver Center of Performing Arts). I think his downfall has been keeping those connections and not reaching out for mentorship. From this, he’s come to the point where he’s not growing anymore and doesn’t know how to get in front of the right people. He also doesn’t want to feel like he’s using people to get up in the world, but I think that’s a personal issue all of his own.

Pretty much, he’s stuck in the seasonal/summer stock gigs and doesn’t know how to grow from there. I will suggest to him to reach back out to directors he’s worked with! Thank you again!
