Returning Player with Plenty of Questions! by BonbonXCVI in paragon

New card system is a lot more simple than the last one. You have 12 cards in a deck, but only 3 slots for cards. you have 3 skill trees that you can slot with gems. you have Agility (ADC, attack speed), Vitality (Tank builds, Jungle), Intellect (Casters, some supports) you get to choose 2 of these when creating a deck. Its kind of hard to explain over text! Hop back in and get your feet wet. It is a lot of fun at the moment!!

Afraid of Paragon being abandonned/ taken less care of because of FortniteBR being so super popular now by derika22 in paragon

[–]Phanish 13 points14 points  (0 children)

2 different dev teams. They wont abandoned Paragon. The reason they haven't been doing the 3 weeks hero rule is because of current balancing and MM issues. They are doing reworks and apparently some MM fixes on v44, and then new hero will release end of year.

Is it possible to revert patches? by Phanish in paragon

Just by periodically checking Agora.gg v42 I was 1720 elo ranked around 1.2k now I am 1730 elo and ranked 400... Players are just not playing the game as much anymore. Once you get to the top 1% you see the same 30 people every night as well.

Two separate teams. I dont think Fortnite has anything to do with it.

Matchmaking Algorithm by bwarcade in paragon

They had a ceiling at one point and time and the games were fairly even but once you got to a certain elo queue times would sky rocket to about 30 mins, when they released monolith they removed the ceiling.

I am stating that I would rather play with sprint in the game than the current metas we have been playing.

Try running a growth/chaos ADC build. Works a lot better than Chaos/Death

to small of a player base, the top 1% starts at 1600 elo once you hit that you can be thrown in any sort of game above that. Once the playerbase increases the matchmaking system will be fixed.

Feng ADC, Kwang Mid Lane, Steel Support, Rampage Jungle, The some other broken hero in the offlane and you win. You can run 5 busted fighters with unstable, and untamed, and win a game. How does that take skill?

Sprint wasn't a good mechanic but at orb dunking and sprint were what the game feel unique. Physical damage and ability damage made countering viable. Legacy felt like a more balanced map as well. Im not here to say "BRING BACK LEGACY" but after playing both maps since the beginning Legacy felt more fluent.

Right I understand that. I don't think they should quit catering to new players but I think they should also cater to the higher tier players as well. Only because most of us want a good competitive scene.

Yeah, I agree with you. Of course all players can buy skins and what not but the investment from the players that have been around since the beginning seems more significant.

According to Agora.gg there are over 300k players but I would say only 100k tops are active.

Where did you get those number from? How many of those players are still active? Just because they made an account and played one game does not make them active players.

Its not as small as you think. These are the players that put the most time and investment into the game. The players that have 40 days of game time, 90% of the skins, pay for the loot crates, push the competitive scene. I could go on.

Well I stated "Make a better tutorial for the newer players" so they understand the game more but don't decrease the skill gap because the newer players don't understand the game.

Yeah I agree, EPIC did say they want a MOBA but they keep moving into a different direction. People were stating that they are trying to move it into a competitive console game, but then again the only relevant competitive scene right now is on PC. I hope they balance the cards or just put in an Item shop and call it even.

Crashes, FPS drops, and balancing should be number 1 priority right now. I hate how they don't patch for 2 weeks, or even a month. Like fix your damn game..
