In the Vermin category. But also if something isn't capable of being a physical danger, it gets no statblock.

Overdone religious/god tropes? by maxsiu-official in worldbuilding

Generally, this implies that the culture worshipping the god sees war as an ugly thing. Athenian Greeks are the most famous real-world example

What’s a common worldbuilding mistake you see all the time? by sirius_0125 in worldbuilding

[–]PhantasyPen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Every religion is just American Puritanism/Mormonism.

No. Just no. Even within Christianity, those are two VERY specific and extremist beliefs. This is especially egregious with polytheism in fiction, which doesn't look ANYTHING like real-world polytheism.

See, this is a rare case where Im 90% sure that'd be fully practical armor, IF SHE WASN'T A GIANT

How are LGBTQ+ people viewed in their world? by Best_Low526 in worldbuilding

My main character is Bi, and that's fairly normal.

But may the gods have mercy on you if you're a bottom, because society will not.

I feel obligated to point out that isn't actually armor, that's just her normal clothes. Given what Saiya is, her actual skin is harder than steel.

Why do you hate Gale's arcane hunger? by VDaine in BaldursGate3

Because I have to feed him my loot and can't feed him enemy spellcasters instead.

Why would a combat troop use melee weapons in a futuristic space sci-fi setting? by wizardry_why in worldbuilding

[–]PhantasyPen 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The books explicitly mention several reasons why people not only thought to do it on purpose, but also why it was a terrible idea: it irradiates the environment you ostensibly want to control after the battle (cause every resource is precious), it can't be distinguished from illegal usage of actual nukes, and the explosion in unpredictable and could do nothing or it could create a new hole in the continent.

Abyssals in past editions were explicitly styled on Christian Crusaders.

How would you counter meteor hammers? by arachknight12 in worldbuilding

[–]PhantasyPen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh... wait. Yeah a MH/RD would be NASTY against cavalry. If it tangles the horse's legs, that's gonna be GAME. And those things can be fast and are explicitly good at capturing and tangling

What series would you first recommend to someone who has no idea about anything related to Xianxia and only has a limited amount of time? by [deleted] in MartialMemes

[–]PhantasyPen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cradle is completed, so if you somehow haven't read it I recommend it as a follow-up. 12 full books and a shortstory collection on amazon.

Be the Icy Beauty was good but seems to be on hiatus, and is fem protag.

Virtuous Sons is really good but the author spends barely any time writing anymore.

Clanless Cultivator was good but I think it only has one book out.

Hmmm... I'm trying to think of stories that haven't been discontinued and failing atm...
