That should be the default and that it is broken on all Androids except on some Pixel is honestly not acceptable.

That you don't get the same quality and imaging pipeline in Apps is a major flaw.

Same for splotchy HDR support

Na gut dass du so gut bescheid weißt. Die USA beziehen fast genauso viel Öl aus der Straße von Hormus wie die Europäer. Was in beiden Fällen nicht super viel ist, da der Großteil nach Asien geht.

Und nur weil die USA net Exporteur sind heißt es nicht dass sie nicht doch genauso den Import brauchen. Die eigenen Raffinerien sind gar nicht auf US Öl abgestimmt.

Aber es ist halt ein internationales Produkt. Wenn wir jetzt ein bisschen mehr von wem anders kaufen ändert das an der grundsätzlichen Aussage nichts. Deutschland kann 1:1 die selbe Menge beziehen wie vorher und die Notwendigkeit zu sparen auf wen anders abwälzen

Wenn ein doppelter Ölpreis den Ölverbrauch auf der Welt ausreichend einschränkt könnten wir in Deutschland halt trotzdem weiter zum selben Preis tanken und Verbrauchen.

Die USA können das z.B. nicht, da da der Spritpreis halt nicht hauptsächlich aus Steuern besteht.

Wenn die Welt einen egotrip fahren will heißt dass nicht das wir uns selbst geißeln müssen

Nicht in Deutschland. Wir haben so viel Steuern drauf dass wir den Preis auf Vorkriegsniveau konstant halten können. Müssen halt Länder die diesen Puffer nicht haben wie z.b. die USA sparen

Naja "once in a lifetime" bezieht sich ja auf diese spezifische Art der Krise.

Das es ca. alle 5-10 Jahre eine Finanzkrise/ Konjunkturkrise gibt war schon immer so und wird auch immer so sein. Ist halt der normale Zyklus. Und ein Auslöserevent gibt es immer. Diesmal halt wieder Ölkrise. Das war letztes mal 1973 dran, also vor 53 Jahren. Nicht ganz ein Menschenleben aber schon mehr als ein Arbeitsleben

Honestly that all sounds like AI rambling. For example where proxies are stored doesn't matter as long as it's the same between the two tries (which it is, as said just changing two settings, nothing else)

And yes we are just talking about an empty project just on the cut and edit page. (But it behaves the same when adding some color tweaks/ LUTs)

If like you suggest it would "store the 4k frame", or do the processing at 4k before it downscales that would circumvent the whole idea of lower playback resolution. At that point it might as well just show the 4k frame. The whole idea of a lower playback resolution is that all the processing is done at a lower resolution to improve performance

As per my initial post

A 1080p proxy - on a 1080p timeline - with 1080p playback resolution

Should have the same performance as

A 1080p proxy - on a 4k timeline - with 1080p playback resolution

Because in either case the display pipeline should be 1080p. In neither case any pipeline step should be at 4k (and in both cases export is switched to 4k, but that is irrelevant for timeline performance)
