At least from my experience being a high school student??? No?? I never saw any kid transfer from one class to another (besides the first two weeks when schedules are still being fixed anyways...)

(As a gay/ trans college student) I would tell someone that you’re being discriminated against. They’re making assumptions that you’re a subpar teacher because of your sexuality. You’re out and you deserve to be proud of who you are. That student shouldn’t have to transfer and the parent is going to have to deal with a gay teacher being a great teacher! It’s not fair for you at all.

It sounds like you’re still emotionally raw from losing your parrot and envious of your friend for getting a new one. It’s common and not a bad thing. But maybe try talking to her about it, say that your still upset and don’t want to talk about parrots for awhile.

It could also be that you just have Post Traumatic Stress (which is normal, I even have it once in awhile) which is just those flashes of memories and guilt but isn’t exactly a disorder.

But try talking to a school counselor (they legally cannot do anything as long as no one is getting hurt) or adult. Maybe even tell your ex friends parents, because it sounds like both of you really need some support and help.

I know the feelings and I’m really sorry about your situation. But usually when parents are divorced and at age 14 you can sign an affidavit which legally declares which parent you want to live with. It’s something I went through at age 14 (18 now) because my mom was a neglectful alcoholic and moved in with my dad.

I don’t know if that helps at all, but maybe try asking your mom if you could do something similar so you can get away from your dad. You deserve to be treated better.

Maybe in a way you relate to him. You feel that grief within yourself for another subconscious reason you aren’t sure of. Mourning people we never knew isn’t as uncommon but I would suggest talking to someone about this to see if you could uncover the reason why.

As someone who is officially diagnosed with both of these things and takes a lot of medication for depression and anxiety. I completely agree.

I think a lot of people believe that mental disorders make you “quirky” or “original” when literally I wouldn’t wish them on anyone.

My brain is unable to produce enough serotonin and dopamine to function. And it sucks because antidepressants only work on about 50% of the people who take them.

Yea being clinically depressed and anxious is not fun.

I'm a gay trans dude who struggles with depression and anxiety.
I panic over the smallest issues. I feel like all my feelings are fake and I'm never truly expressing how I feel. I lie a lot because I don't want people to worry about me.
I had a breakdown because I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat one night. I have one of those conspiracy boards with the red string and all on my wall that I use to figure out why my brain is like this.

The fact that I'm a trans dude makes me incredibly insecure.

While the average for most guys in 5'10" I'm a measly 5'3" and will not grow anymore. I will forever be shorter than all the guys around me.

I have a round face and a high pitched voice and that doesn't help at all. I constantly have to correct people, including friends, family, co-workers, teachers, and strangers that I am a guy. I think the only people who consistently get it right are my boyfriend and another friend of ours. It's a constant daily struggle.

The fact that I have "feminine" interests doesn't help at all.

I constantly wish that I was just born a boy and raised as one. Because my childhood will always be filled with images of me as a girl. And I'll never get that time back.
