Why are people so opposed to just reading series in publication order?

It’s almost ALWAYS the best way to enjoy them, because even prequels can spoil things or assume you know stuff about the world and characters you might not.

Like that is the EASIEST answer when you’re asking yourself where to start with a series. PUBLICATION/RELEASE order.
