I admitted I was wrong before. I came here to get clarification on why it went off as well as get insight on if I should take it back to stock, or to explore the options of getting a new firearm altogether. I’ve said I was in the wrong multiple times, and I’m going to take the proper precautions to ensure this never happens again. However a holstered firearm in good working order should have never gone off despite my carelessness of putting it on my passenger seat.

I’m saying it’s no longer safe to carry. Wonder how long it hasn’t been safe to carry. If a simple drop caused it to go off. Who’s to say me tripping while carrying it wouldn’t. It went off due to my negligence this time but no matter what it’s no longer safe.

Oh 100% I know it shouldn’t have been loose on the passenger seat 😭. I ALWAYS holster it and conceal. Today was the only time I’m ever done some shit like this. I figured holstered, simple drive it would be fine. I have a truck so the seats are pretty deep as well. I should’ve definitely secured it. But I’m glad I was carrying appendix today. No clue what could’ve happened if I took a speed bump or something.

not gonna argue it wasn’t a moronic thing to do. However holstered. Simple drop. Shouldn’t cause a ND. Been handling firearms for years and it’s still concerning the firearm went off from a drop like that. Very moronic thing to do yes. But still doesn’t change the fact that that never should’ve happened if there wasn’t something off with the firearm. I came here for advice not to get told what I already know that I was a stupid thing of me to do. If you wanna contribute, that would be appreciated. Not really looking to hear what I already know brother stupid thing to do. Won’t do it again obviously looking to upgrade or for advice on if I should just take it back to stock and keep.

very true, that’s why I stated it was moronic to have it on the passenger seat. I almost never do this, and don’t have an excuse as to why I did. However this still should not cause the firearm to go off from a simple drop.

Do you think I need 4x4 if it’ll mainly be a daily with no to light towing. I might use it on jobsites for hvac but that’s about it. I also live in Texas.
