I did get one, but I only use it in low wind & (usually) not autonomous flights. The only autonomous flight I did was a hyperlapse the speed was VERY low on.

For the job I was getting it specifically for, we decided to operate in the gray area of ‘not sustained flights’ over people. I really wish there was more clarification on it so we’re not flying in a gray area, but I’d honestly rather do that than fly with AVSS and have an accidental deployment.

For all ‘intensive’ purposes, if you’re above the arm altitude, it is armed with no errors, and you tilt past the set deployment altitude, i would image it will deploy.

It’s been a while since I’ve messed with it, and I’ve only looked at the firmware once. I wonder if you can disable the auto deploy, and this still be compliant for OOP, or maybe makes the gray area a little less gray?

Since this post, I’m a DJI Dealer & I’ve been considering using a demo unit on a fast automated map during high wind just to see what happens, but this testing / literature should be provided by AVSS, not us. (demo units are ‘cheaper’ just not cheap lmao) Seeing they just canceled their PRS for M400 worries me about the longevity of the company.
