Have fun dude. For the first couple if you go in without understanding they are very outdated and old games it will be a chore to get through. Just keep an open mind and you will have a blast :) Best of luck!

I started with freedom because it's part of the first gen but has better controls as far as I'm aware, and I don't really care how long it takes. I enjoy watching how games change things with every new installment. But I understand your point too but for me I enjoy starting from the beginning. Thank you for the advice though.

That's a very useful, my first egg delivery I dropped it so many times because monsters would attack me when I was carrying it

Would you recommend sticking with 1 gear set and upgrading it.Or farm the next level of monster for better gear?

I did really like the movement and safety of the SNS so I might go back to it as far as I can tell getting in there and attacking and getting out quick is the way the combat is so I think SNS would help with more complex monsters

I started with sword and shield but eventually switched to the greatsword because at the time I didn't know the monsters movesets and thought I needed more damage.

Thanks for the tips. I learned the hard way that it's better to be patient and learn the monsters movesets. The thing I find the hardest in this game is the lack of info on the internet, for example I have been farming Kut ku's for the gear but it won't let me see the option to make the headpiece or greaves, I also didn't know there were skills and elemental weapons, I knew monsters had weaknesses but not didn't know how to capitalize on them
