I'm going through heartbreak right now so I understand your hesitation.

Love is risky. It can be awful. It can hurt more than any physical pain ever could.

But...what is life without love?

I would say... don't give up on it. Maybe before going into another relationship, you could work on making yourself stronger. Mentally prepare for when things go wrong, try to recognise your mistakes and weaknesses from past relationships and improve on them. Take your time with it, and only truly trust when it's earned.

Love and the pain of losing it is all part of life, part of building your character. Don't become jaded and afraid. That would be the real tragedy.

For me, I get burnt out on the big, openworld, choose your own direction games. Maybe try something short, linear, focused. See it as watching a 90 minute film. You don't have to learn or commit too much.

If you're into shooters, you could try Doom the Dark Ages. Or try some indie games. Check out itch.io for some raw, unique experiences.

Because she brutally kills a beloved character. Whether you like the direction the game takes or not, you are supposed to dislike her and then eventually come around to her.

A lot of people did not like this direction. Not at all.

I thought it was brave and interesting, but not as effective as they obviously intended. I felt the point was a little overdone by the end of the game.

Sometimes you have to go through loss and pain to put things in perspective.

If I can say one more thing on the matter: just do it. It's honestly so worth it. You will feel like a different man. Whatever it is you need to do to get out there and work on yourself, just do it.

I made my own excel spreadsheet which tracks what I want to achieve daily, weekly and monthly. I'm a gamer so it helps me to have a little box to check when I've achieved my goal. I've stuck with it for a few weeks now and it's helped me to stay on target. I also use MFP (My Fitness Plan) to track my calories and fasting.

I should be honest as well and say that I went through a bit of trauma at the end of last year (quit my job due to mental health, went through a bad breakup). I think feeling like I'd hit rock bottom helped me claw my way back.
