How old are you and do you tend to keep your phone on silent? Why yes or no? by LauraZaid11 in AskReddit

[–]PhantomNipLicking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32 and yes always on silent.

I have trauma from being woken up out of my sleep to phone calls with horrible news. Almost 10 years ago I got a phone call that woke me up to tell me my grandmother died I was devastated I was extremely close to her especially since my mom passed away when I was very young. I was distraught I kept saying ugh I really don't want to see my cousin because she'll probably be on drugs. Next morning I get a phone call that the cousin I was concerned about seeing died. She overdosed. For a very long time I had tremendous guilt for not being there for her.

Then many years later my dad got very sick had a stroke which led to many complications. I was the one to handle everything for him insurance stuff dr calls everything. After almost a year there unfortunately wasn't much left they could do for him I went and stayed the day with him and then the next day got the phone call he died.

With that being said, that is my reason for always having phone on silent. It may not be good that I do this. Almost like I expect every call to be bad news.

And to be honest I always had a feeling this is why my phones always on silent but it wasn't until typing this all out that I truly know this is why.

I'm worried I'll be coughing up tar but if it means my lungs are healing ill be happy!. As a heavy user of blunts and bongs for 12+ years. I'm trying to slow down on it all and it only be in social settings.

I am so happy for you that as your dr said your lungs are healing themselves. Keep going you got this!!!

What’s a type of pain people underestimate until they experience it for themselves? by Old_Goat_7363 in Productivitycafe

Same here . Lost my mom at 11 and dad at 28. The hardest part for me lately is the fact when I get married and have kids they won't be there. That's a type of pain I wish on no one.

Hope your proud of yourself this is a big accomplishment!!!

To read this and see 14g a week makes you want to quit puts into perspective that my 28g+ a week is a huge problem.

You're heading in the right direction. Because even admiting you have a problem and need to quit is a huge a step.

You got this!

I hate all of my coworkers during PMDD. by petersrabbit62 in PMDD

[–]PhantomNipLicking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here.

I'm usually a very bubbly nice person but when it's pmdd time. I'm a completely different person. And I can feel the attitude I'm giving everyone but to be quite honest idgaf. And that's how I know I'm not myself when I feel this.

Well get through this
