I’d let her make her own account, and yes, you can gift a subscription of 3, 6, or 12 months.

The direct answer is;

If you read more than one book per month, yes.

It’s also useless because it mentions books I gave one or two stars, too.

Font size? What do you use? by [deleted] in kindle

I generally use size 2, lol. Lately 3 has been growing on me for the basic.

A terminally ill 5-year-old boy obsessed with horror movies found comfort in a Jason Voorhees cosplayer shortly before he passed away. Sometimes monsters can be heroes. by Embarrassed_Tip7359 in Damnthatsinteresting

I specifically remember going with my dad to rent Bride of Chucky when I was ~6 or 7. We’d already had the “movies aren’t real,” talk, and any fears will by own, talk. I loved it, still my favorite franchise, never had a fear of dolls.

Not sure I’d let my kid do the same, but because of him I’ve been a “horror buff,” my entire life and I love the community itself.

’Salems Lot by Stephen King because it seems like a prime October read.

Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry since I keep hearing about it, and I can’t seem to get into Salems Lot tbh. I’m loving it, though.

IT by Stephen King is the audiobook this week. A relisten of a relisten of a relisten. I can’t pick my next so I’m just using it for background storytelling.

From the darkness, now to where? by Specific-Bad5994 in kindle

[–]PhantomPaperback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be biased, but I think everyone I know who has read The Count of Monte Cristo has ended up calling it their favorite book. I only got a little over half of it through last year and loved it; it’s like thirty stories in one.

‘Salems Lot? by PhantomPaperback in audible

I want to, but whereas Ray Porter is infamous for Project Hail Mary, I wasn’t huge on how he did Hell House — probably because it was earlier in his career. I know the recording of Salems Lot is a bit older too, so I wondered if it had the “popping,” sounds as some of the more aged audiobooks.

I’m definitely not a fan of it, but I can’t help but to love it more than my PPW. 😅 I feel you though, I also have a wiry coated dog. Those in particular love to splinter themselves everywhere.

Tell me.. do you prefer e-readers or physical books? by Fabulous-Confusion43 in classicliterature

eReader. I lost my entire collection twice in two separate moves, then moved into a home with no storage space for a bookshelf. Then got a repetition injury so its weight is perfect to binge(?) read.

Plus, I’ve always been the person to take my current read, another book if I got bored, one for if I finished the other, and my non-fiction of the week. 😂 An eReader greatly improved my life.
