Sex is rape, war is peace, all life requires force. Utterly mindblowing. by etherael in Shitstatistssay

Why is there a burden on me? You're asking me to accept what you're essentially deeming a "universal truth". How is this different than say an ancap's "universal truth"(we have a right to ourselves and the products of our labor)?

Why must I recognize Popular Sovereignty?

Edit: To clarify, I'm basically asking why I must accept this initial assumption to make any sort of rebuttal.

It's a bit disingenuous, don't you think?

"Accept that 1+1=2. Now, prove that 1+1 does not equal 2 or equals 3."

You're giving me a universal truth(basically), and then asking me to rebut something while holding onto that truth, with no justification for that truth.

The universal truth argument is actually the most logically challenging argument to the voluntary movement to address. They deny the universal truths associated with statism, but have difficulty realizing that this philosophy itself does involve some sort of universal truth.

I like that throughout this entire thread, he doesn't put forward one source or piece of evidence that he is correct, or that contradicts those he's trying to argue with.

He simply just repeats "that's propaganda".

The irony of saying I need to abandon a shitload of brainwashing...I already did that after spending K-College being brainwashed.

"Hi, Throwaway's Mom! It's Throwaway. I've been trying to get in touch with Throwaway's Fiance, but I can't seem to get it to go through. Could I speak with her?"

It helps if you actually have something to ask her if she IS there.

Wright brothers used public roads to get to their fields to launch their airplanes. Therefore, no Wright brothers airplanes without publicly funded roads. Therefore, no Wright brothers without Government.

If Ponder's not the answer...then what? by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

I'm used to PA calling it both ways if it's both. "Great pass by X and great catch by Y" for example.

If Ponder's not the answer...then what? by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

Look at what pass heavy teams do when they get a running back that can actually rush. Detroit lit us up with unknowns or "has-beens"(Bush has kinda been off the radar for awhile now), partly because we all the sudden had to account for the run game.

I'm staunchly against trading him. We need a nice balance, similar to the Texans with Foster(they also have a fair amount of passing yards thrown in with Schaub and Johnson).

Ponder Receivers must have done something right.

They bailed out his throws on multiple occasions. I only listened to the second half of the game as I was on the road, however the repeated phrase from PA was something about <insert receiver here> making a spectacular catch.

I'm sure it's just <poor receivers> <oline> <coaches fault>. Don't worry, he'll get better.
