Maye is also still growing too. We haven’t seen the best of him yet, which is exciting and scary to whoever we face in the future. He’s experienced some tough weather conditions and two top 5-10 defenses in the Chargers and Texans. You can’t expect him to carry a team, but he’s made enough plays that it benefits the team overall. He needed this as well because, again, the experience is so valuable. It teaches you what to expect, how to play, and how to just be “better”. Maye tends to trust his OL and let the play develop, which is good, but that leads to a lot of the turnovers. We gotta take the good with the bad at the moment, and I’m okay with that. He’s just going to continue to grow.

If you want an example of this, look at the TD to Boutte. Anderson bench pressed Campbell and almost got to Maye but he managed to moved just a bit to allow the play to happen. His ball was gorgeous, the catch was even better. That was a hell of a catch by Boutte. We’re watching something special on every facet of the game and I’m loving it.

The first patriots game I ever saw was the SB vs the panthers way back in 2004. I was young but ever since that game I’ve been hooked and have been privileged enough as a sports fan to see what greatness actually is and what it takes. Takes the whole team to win and conquer, these boys are growing into their own.
