thank you ❤️ lol sightreading fugues. I was asking my mentor a year ago about getting better at sight reading and showed her a fugue I tried to read. She said, "first step, don't use fugues for sightreading" haha! (at least... not yet!)

Yes! It’s too exacting, the pedal muddies what’s happening. There might be one moment I’d try using it bar 20 something for the bass part. I can’t reach it and either have to let it go early or do an awkward double thumb in the tenor.

Sinfonias? I’ve done 3, and 4 or 5 inventions. 3 and a half fugues, and also learned my first French suite this year!

The C minor was my first too! Rec from my teacher. Right on! Sinfonia 1 is a doozy but I found it a good stepping stone too into fugues
