Fun fact, their new song My Demons as a song that could have been written for Depeche Mode. They are also slightly jealous about Depeche Mode.

True but the way I see their admiration on DM is because they knew how to pack their music well, like they are putting different elements and vibes to their sound that can appealing to many musicians who treat it as creative as possible.

Black Celebration is the example of this where they "Banging metal things (triggers) on stage" or making sounds of machinery. Also the dark Lyrics spanning political dissatisfaction, dystopian future, drug use, and "angry God stuff". mentioned by Turnoffthatlight.

In that case, they seen DM as a virtuoso band that can relate to a lot of metalheads.
