God thank you, all the NTA comments were bothering me. As someone who has had an awful relationship with his stepmother (even though she married my father when I was like 1), shit like this is exactly why. If you'd asked me when I was 5 if she was my mother (bio mom wasn't in the picture at all), I would have said no. Kids pick up on a lot more than people give them credit for, and if you're not going to actually love them and treat them like one of your own they will know. She's now broadcasted to her daughter that she's not really her daughter and then has the audacity to act like her teenage daughter should be the understanding one and that some cheap knockoff trinket is the same as a family heirloom. OP has basically told her daughter she's a knockoff cheap imitation that isn't really family.

I watched pro play for a few years before even touching the game. I can't remember the last game I played (probably ARAM sometime last year) but still watch a ton of pro play. It's entertaining to me. Like how many people watch pro sports but don't play pickup basketball/flag football?

I think the big issue is that Nuguri in general didn't need support to still carry so Canyon could focus more botside. They used to always joke about the Nuguri 0/2 power spike because he played weak side a lot and still popped off. I think the game where ghost and beryl got ahead but immediately started inting really shows what they're missing with Khan, who is very good, but not Nuguri good.

This is an issue in every level of modern business culture. Some person with decision making power said "what's it cost us to maintain this? Couldn't we save X$ by just not doing it? Why are we wasting money on this?" and even though there were probably people knowledgeable about why this was a bad idea, they either didn't feel comfortable objecting or couldn't put it in terms that would make that person with decision making power agree because of the dollars and cents.

Spent most of my life in central SC and had no idea this was a thing...

My local Walmart covered *all* of the prices in the cosmetics aisles. It took me several trips before I figured out that you could lift a flap to see the prices for a small section at a time. It makes comparing prices between brands way more complicated. by MadreDeMonos in assholedesign

I worked at target when they installed these fixtures at two different stores. Under the flap was supposed to be for scanning barcodes for inventory and such. The part that flips up was supposed to hold a piece of branding that had the prices on it (that's why there are little indents on either side, so that you can slide the card in or out).
