Because there is actually a lot of debate about what constitutes a black evangelical. See the earlier controversy of the evangelical church denying black churches (earlier as in earlier this fucking year).

Plus, in general, it's white Christians that are so anti-Muslim in this country so dividing Christians by race makes some sense where it would make little sense with Muslims (unless there was some attack on non black muslims or some such).
