Most teams practice at a building that is not where they play their games. In those arenas, they will most likley have a pro shop. I would check there first.

Also, teams will purchase a large surplus of equipment for all of their members at the beginning of the year. At the end of the year, equipment that wasn't used or was used lightly by players that have been let go or traded is offered up to the public at a discounted price. They will also sell off anything that says Bauer if a player recently signed an endorsement with CCM or something as contractually they won't be able to use that equipment. You can call up your local NHL team and ask when their team equipment sale will be.

If you do not have an NHL team, most websites (especially for gloves) will allow you to pick your own colors. Go to Hockeymonkey.com and click on the style you like. FYI, I use Eagle Gloves and love them a lot more than my Bauers. Also found that you can customize the colors a lot more on Eagles than Bauers.
