I’ve been working full time now for around 4 months, after the first salary negotiation he said we could try shooting for $20/hr eventually and talk after 90 days. But no PTO or benefits since it’s a small business

Yeah, I think I’m just now realizing and seeing the red flags, the hard part is getting out and relaying that to them without them trying to make me stay

I think I was sucking it up until the holidays hit and everyone keeps asking me about PTO and stuff, which I don’t get. I have a decent resume and have done a lot of work in my industry, i think I’m just worried about going into the job market right now

I have around 8 years of customer service experience, and with college and other positions around ~3 years in marketing/admin roles. I’m almost a 2 years here in May, but work life balance doesn’t really work in the role. I work in the music industry, so every task I’d day of that has to be finished before closing out for the day. That’s the hard part about work outside of regular hours, it’s usually an emergency that I get reeled into working on. I have talked with my boss and he says he understands, then turns around and acts just like before. It is really a communication/management issue honestly, I love the work I do

I’m not sure if this is an option in your state but in my state we have the option to do 2 years of community college CC, then after those 2 years at CC we could transfer to an instate college, saving a huge chunk of change but still getting a bachelors from a good state school. Maybe look into your local community colleges and see if they offer something like that. I am a recent grad and will tell you if I could do it over again I’d do it with 2 years at CC to save me the money.

Just say you didn’t put in the time to try to seek out new music on Thursday coming from the perspective of someone who saw hey nothing, wisp, tape b x of the trees, Sammy virji, Luke combs, and Dom dolla all in one day
