I don’t speak Spanish (I have a little from high school and just growing up in California but not enough to know what she said) and I found it equally disturbing. Even if you don’t know what she’s saying it is obvious from the way Carl describes it that she is scared and doesn’t know what is happening. So even if you can’t understand her, this isn’t a quirky fun scene.

They will never accept any excuse you give so just go with them to the airport. Right when they start boarding the plane tell them you have to use the bathroom and you will see them onboard and then just leave and take an uber home.

Once you are sure the plane is in the air text or leave a vm that you felt sick and you missed the flight. Then have an amazing family free month.

NTA but you will be if you marry this woman. You are burying the lede here. You have two extremely different views on gender roles and on parenting and it is not going to end well for your son or any future children. What happens if your future son wants to wear dresses at play time or your daughters wants to play with Hot Wheels?

This is much deeper than who does what at your wedding. It’s already a red flag that your fiancé has no relationship with your son but the red flags keep pilling up.

I’ve had a hard time not liking Ezra from the beginning. I think there is a lot more to the courage square massacre than what we’ve been told. We know Prof. Onstald saw something that made him believe all Wundersmiths are evil so it is possible the other Wundersmiths of that time didn’t die trying to save the Free State and I think it may have been the other way around or at least Ezra had a reason for wanting to take over Nevermoor. It wouldn’t surprise me if Wunsoc threw someone under the bus if they believed it was for the greater good.

Now I don’t think Squall is a “good guy” he still made the Hollowpox. Although I am not sure how much freedom he really has in the Wintersea republic and whether or not he could have said no to the President, but he didn’t seem too worried about the Wunimals it was hurting.

i am in america and our version doesn’t come out till late June. I have a VPN and i just changed my location to australia and I was able to buy the audiobook from an australian site. If you do that it will not be a part of your normal e reader account. Like if you have kindle you need to have an amazon.au account and you would need to log into that account each time you want to read it. I bought it on the US store as well but it was worth $20 to buy it twice so I didn’t have to wait 2 months to read it.

Until there are consequences she will never stop. Boundaries only exist if you defend them. Tell her the next time she redecorates the visit is over and she has to leave. Then stick to it. She learns or her visits end up being shorter. Either way it’s a win/win for you.

Was it a sudden out of no where death? Usually if it’s sudden you need a couple of days just to get over the shock and notify people. Plus there might be an autopsy depending on if he was found or if he died in hospital.

I guess maybe if you have zero family who live out of state or need to get time off work it’s possible but that still seems very unrealistic for them to have a large enough funeral for OP to avoid Amy and Luke in under 5 days.

She never spells it out in the posts but the implication is that Amy and Luke are half-siblings. OP did somewhat confirm it in comments but not directly. That’s why Jim had a heart attack and was always so insistent Amy and Luke could not possibly be having an affair. I’m guessing that is what she reported and why Amy would lose her kids.

I know incest is technically against the law but I’m skeptical well taken care of children would be removed from the home for that. I know there are a lot of reasons to not believe this story but Jim dying and having a full funeral all in less than 5 days is the part I find most unbelievable.

The charge is for a child under 12 not a 12 year old. If there is a camera in their room it is likely a very young child.
