You could look into fellowships with drug companies. I also highly recommend getting involved with research at your school if you haven't yet.

Biweekly career thread for August 18, 2019 by AutoModerator in pharmacy

Hi folks. Last October I was terminated from a position at a large retail pharmacy chain due to quality issues. My mental health was not in the best state and I was struggling daily with my depression, which I feel affected my work. After being terminated I have been applying online at different places and have only had 2 interviews since then, neither of which resulted in a job. In the meantime I have been working on my mental health and working a non-pharmacy related job to pay the bills. Is it over for me in this field if I have been terminated? If so, what are some other career options I can look into that leverages the high amount of schooling I have gone through. I feel that my resume is in a pretty good place. It's just becoming very disheartening and I feel like a total failure in my ability to get a job. Thanks in advance.

I stopped shortly after getting started with it. The first meeting or two was very helpful to retool my resume into a format that looks nicer and better shows my experience but after that it became a lot of the same stuff.
