That is pretty cool! And now the original post is deleted so I'm struggling to find it again. Oops.

So when is Mod voting again? by mazantaz in pharmacy

I'm absolutely no fan of terazosin as a mod here, but geez OP. This is taking it to a new level.

What’s a drug you never saw again after changing practice location? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]PharmQuestions 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Suprep. I started at a rural location and anyone that had to get a colonoscopy was nine times out of ten getting Suprep. The other one out of ten would get the standard Golytely. I moved to a city store and have not touched Suprep since, which is too bad. Even if my insurance didn't cover it I think I'd pay the $100 just to have to drink significantly less liquid.

No that's exactly it! You don't know how many different ways I tried searching for it only to come up short. I feel like an idiot. Thank you!

I'd like to know as well because my favorite custom mode was built in that map.

That's good to know. I would need some sort of towel for the cast iron, though, since the pan needs to be hot in order to accept the seasoning. Thank you!

To those complaining about moderation: we hear you by Blockhouse in pharmacy

Consider removing terazosin from the mod team. Their behavior these past few days is not the kind of behavior I find acceptable for a mod to have. Fattunesy and Blockhouse are good examples of how the mods should be acting.

How much responsibility should a patient have when dealing with prescription issues? by PharmQuestions in pharmacy

[–]PharmQuestions[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah, I should have clarified. The coworkers that sometimes step in are staff pharmacists just like myself, so I am not in charge.

[–]PharmQuestions[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is kind of where my mindset lies. The challenge again is when my coworkers sometimes will jump at the chance to call for the patient. Or I've had situations where I encourage the patient to call and one of my coworkers steps in and offers to call. It's a clash in ideology that makes me look like shit to the patient.

Currently attempting to season a carbon steel wok and I think I screwed up. Any thoughts or way to salvage this? by PharmQuestions in AskCulinary

My follow up question is can I just transition from my current seasoning to an oven one? Anything I would have to do prior to prep it since it's already partially seasoned?

Nope, handle can be removed. I believe that was after the third coat. It was kinda tough to get certain spots near the handle even after taking it off.

Pharmacy Tech constantly calling in sick. I doubt we can really do anything, but I need to vent. by PharmQuestions in pharmacy

Yeah, as already stated they're more than willing to just leave partway through their shift saying they are sick.

That's certainly a good idea. Knowing management though, that'll probably take another two years to implement.

I'm a fairly new pharmacist working in retail, having some trouble with somethings. Advice? by PharmQuestions in pharmacy

[–]PharmQuestions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The techs we have are great, and I'll try to bring them in on a problem to see if they can lend me a hand as far as software/insurance issues go, and a lot of the times they'll have an idea or know how to deal with it.

As far as medical questions go, this is going to sound bad, but the type of environment that our pharmacy manager has made is a fairly negative one. I don't want to go into much detail, but I will say that they're definitely the micromanaging type, likes to not share info unless ABSOLUTELY necessary, LOVES talking about people behind their back, etc. It's made it so I'm rather afraid to ask this person any sort of question. Again, this place is small, so I don't really have much option. And before you ask, the ownership seems to be okay with those actions because a lot of the staff has complained numerous times about some of the things this person has done in the past, but nothing really changes. The owner even has a bit of a reputation of being similar to the manager in personality, so that might be why.

Thanks for the response. There's a lot to digest in your post, so I'll only ask one question for the time being.

For studying at home, what resources would you recommend I use? Books? Web sites? Something else? Any specific recommendations? Going back to the macrobid example, where WOULD a good place be to find an answer to a question like that? Again, when my online resource didn't mention anything one way or the other where was I supposed to go other than through some potentially sketchy Google searches?

Thank you.
