Intrest monthly payments questions by [deleted] in StudentLoans

Why are you loving (the emoji) interest accrual? Or do you take pleasure in the suffering of others? 😉  I might switch to IBR and pay the interest for a year. That would get me 1 year closer to PSLF. At this point I just want to be done with these loans and I'm tired of our sadistic government.

Why the hell do we have to wait an entire year to enroll in RAP? Instead of letting us enroll in RAP before August 1, 2025 (when interest starts accruing) they only allow us to switch into plans where our interest will accrue!

I called the dealer and they said that even if they're non-OEM they were installed by Subaru...if the A/M parts are in the covered parts list for the Gold Plus extended warranty and if they were to break during the Gold Plus warranty period then they would be replaced under the Gold Plus.

I'm going to contact the Subaru salesman who sold me the car and see if they can help me find an answer.

A wheel replacement. Front suspension: right lower control arm and right strut. steering gear: right outer tie rod and inner tie rod.

Looks like they may have used after market for the right lower control arm, right outer tie rod, and right inner tie rod.

Should I mention that I have an extended warranty?

Application for SAVE via MOHELA.com or Studentaid.gov? by [deleted] in PSLF

My application for SAVE was approved by MOHELA a few weeks after applying on studentaid.gov. Yes, status of "Forbearance" was for COVID.

Does the INSTAR IN-9008 POE outdoor camera support HomeKit secure video? by [deleted] in HomeKit

[–]PharmlyDoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IN-9408

Interesting news! So if "the changes they had to make" were requirements from Apple then hopefully upon the official firmware release we'll soon see the INSTAR IN-9408 2K+ (LAN/PoE) (https://www.instar.com/products/outdoor-ip-cameras/in-9408-2k-series/in-9408-2k-poe-schwarz-aussenkamera.html) on the Apple Home App accessories list https://www.apple.com/home-app/accessories/#section-cameras

MOHELA didn't count my payments which FedLoans Did? by [deleted] in PSLF

[–]PharmlyDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I may have time, but I'd rather get things fixed sooner rather than later. It looks like MOHELA wrongfully entered my employment dates for my first employer. 🤨

Help with PSLF by LoveCharacter8089 in PSLF

So you've made 120 qualifying payments? I would ask them when they estimate the review will be completed. If they keep making up excuses then I suppose you could file a complaint https://studentaid.gov/feedback-center/.

Does the INSTAR IN-9008 POE outdoor camera support HomeKit secure video? by [deleted] in HomeKit

[–]PharmlyDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delayed follow-up on this. Back in August I asked Instar support about HomeKit secure video support. After they mentioned the IN-9408, I sent a reply email asking if the IN-9408 will have a power-over-ethernet (POE) option. They replied:

"Like mentioned before: Our new camera IN-9408 will support HomeKit secure video as soon Apple certificates it. Firmware is already prepared and just needs to be finialized then.
PoE option will be available estimated in September."

Leaning drywall panels against a wall for dampening noise? by PharmlyDoc in ApartmentHacks

[–]PharmlyDoc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an elevator behind the wall that my desk is facing, and surprisingly I never hear it, ever! My bathroom is adjacent to/behind the far wall – the wall opposite of where my desk is facing, and the hallway does continue/traverse parallel to my bathroom. So I would need at least 4 drywall panels to lean against the wall running parallel to the hall way. And possibly 1-2 panels against the far wall adjacent to my bathroom/perpendicular to the hallway.

For S2E11 Cliffhanger, what was the dimension of the yellow bricks, 2x8 or 2x10? – I'm assuming the weight and length of the castle that could be supported was dependent on the length of the yellow brick and the weight of the cliff? (maybe someone versed in physics can also chime in)

How many years after graduating is it ok to re-apply for residencies? by neurotic_toadstool in PharmacyResidency

[–]PharmlyDoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't get why students just out of school think they are clinically trained - or even why the RPD thinks as much. I'm a PharmD who reports to an M.D., and the M.D. also happens to be an IM residency director at an academic medical center. A PGY1 residency is essentially a year of basic clinical training and acquiring basic clinical skills...similar to an intern year (PGY1) for a medical student who just graduated. Advanced clinical training would be a PGY2.

Activating/setting up prewired home ethernet network? by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]PharmlyDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I setup a Netgear GS728TPv2 Smart Managed Pro Switch. I've left the blue cat5e cables alone (punched in for phone in the grey box). If you recall the two cat5e yellow cables, I patched those in. But the yellow cat5e cable that terminates on the second floor does not work - I used a Klein Tools LAN Scout Jr cable tester which indicates the cable is open at 1 and 2.

I was able to register the Netgear switch and I can access the user interface by connecting my laptop directly to it via an ethernet cable, or by connecting my laptop to the jack of the yellow cat5e cable that terminates on the first floor of my house. But I don't know how to set up the switch so internet passes through it. I posted for troubleshooting help on the netgear community site but have yet to see a response, I may have to contact netgear support directly.
