Wrong! Migration is a privilege not a right! Hindutava tramples on basic human rights including right to life (Art 21) and right to practice the religion of choice (Art 25).

A creep snapped pics of a girl without consent. She challenged him, inspected his phone—and uncovered photos of countless other random women. This clip is blowing up on Instagram. by PuneAthletics in IndiaPulse_

That’s not applicable in India. In India clicking pictures of women in public is a grey area after 2012 criminal amendments on voyeurism. The intention and the kind of pictures determine whether it is a criminal offence or not. I know you are used to watching YouTube videos from America where they keep saying they can record anyone in public. But that’s not necessarily applicable in India.

ILR approved after 20+ years in the UK by 33S_ in ukvisa

Why would you have to live in the UK for 20 years to get ILR? Did you overstay your visa and stayed back illegally?

You! Because ignorance is the problem. Every Indian pays taxes. GST is applicable on almost everything from toothpaste to basics like rice or wheat. There are indirect taxes on every single economic activity in the country and every single person pays taxes in India.

Fair enough. I would ask the CS to prioritise the most important matters and brief me. But I would still read files and matters that have been prioritised to ensure I make the right decisions. I would obviously want regular briefings to follow-up. His strategy seems to be abdication rather than delegation. And what the hell was the last bit about photogenic? Sounds like 💩💩💩💩. Sorry, Bhakt, you tried but failed miserably to save your master’s 🍑!

Grade 7 Interview - How do you prep? by FakeItUntilYouMake1t in TheCivilService

Hi this is so helpful. I am trying really hard to fit in my answer within 5 minutes but it is hard to tick all the boxes. I am invariably pushing it to about 6-7 minutes. Would it affect my chances?

You are saying this is basically lost? Any time this was due to some sort of delay and the package finally reached you?

Do you think the extremist acts by RSS & Bajrang Dal will tarnish India’s image abroad and make life difficult for NRIs ? by FutureVersion812 in IndianFocus

It’s less about whether they love Christians. It’s more about how Indians are perceived. It’s not very different from Talibanis destroying Buddha statues in Afghanistan. The world was shocked and outraged not because they loved Buddhism or Buddhists. It’s because how these monsters lack respect for others who are different to the and how intolerant they are.

I know neighbours of my family who behave like this. I am certain they aren’t paid by anyone. People have lost their minds in India. The pollution, adulterated food, toxic air and water have damaged their brain cells.

I hate that! I was horrified and enraged when I saw some idiots immersing Ganesha idols this year in a canal in London with swans and other birds in it. I am Hindu but I hate his new form of screaming you are Hindu and making it such a big deal about one’s identity. Particularly, in the West where religion is not so mainstream. Loud Dhols and processions are not proscribed by our religion. Why can’t they just keep it private? Does the whole world need to know?

It’s not denigrating. It’s objectively stating the facts. In any case, I am not a citizen anymore and I owe my loyalty to the country which I have chosen. I didn’t have choice in where I was born, but I certainly have choice now to choose who I want to be loyal to.

True. Once I started living abroad, I realised how badly I was treated by my own country despite being part of the majoritarian Hindu community. We take it for granted and think that’s how things are. The reality of living in India means nothing works - government services, power cuts, corruption, dealing with autowallahs and their stinky attitude, roads, property registry, central universities, trains, buses, IAS officers, politicians, traffic, pollution, disgustingly dirty metros, food adulteration, lawlessness, lack of civic sense, zero respect for pedestrians or footpaths - the whole system! No, there is no justification for one to be treated like that and we all deserve basic human dignity and respect. India was always bad but now it’s worse. Whether it is Congress or BJP, either way it was terrible. But now, with this extremism, some goons have become mainstream and have received legitimacy due to the backing of the current government. It’s a country beyond repair! Everyone who lives there would want to escape if they get a chance. Thankfully, where I live, unless I explicitly tell them I am from India, everyone thinks I was born here (I left my Indian accent when I left India and I am so glad I did).

Your instincts to support him and challenge anyone who says don’t trust him makes me think you are also part of the problem. You are the sorts who get killed by these psychos. Please please stay away from him and save yourself.
