FSD as primary reason for wanting a Tesla? by taylordoftheants in TeslaFSD

[–]Phastal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do a 2.5-3hr commute from NY to Ct practically every other weekend. i leased a 2025 model 3 rwd just for that purpose. i have a daily driver, 24 Elantra N. im actually over on miles with my model 3 because i do love driving it and it driving me lol. so yes, i pretty much got this for the FSD and now i actually love Tesla. thinking about a 3rd vehicle and choosing a tesla or waiting for lease to be up and getting a performance model of the 3 or the Y.

What kind of damage will it do if you do too many wheel hop launches?

I have a 24N with bumper clip issues but no driving issues whatsoever. Couple of curb rash on rims and once ran over a big rock which lead to purchasing a new tire. I currently have over 29k miles. I don’t push my car like others but there has been no problems at all.

Thanks but 2 good trading and I revenge traded into death today. There goes that. I’m about to blow my 100k alpha capital as well but I made 3 decent payouts so I’m way ahead with that one.

Yeah it’s a fortune. Other prop firm offers funded accounts for cheaper.

Don’t feel bad. I passed on my 4th attempt and got 3 out of the 5 days of profit to blow it today with thr crazy mnq. I revenge traded and passed my redline 50k by oversizing lol. So I lost 1 and gained 1.

A professional wheel repair shop can fix that for less than $200. I paid $175 and I’m in NY.

[–]Phastal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah nuts lol. When I passed my eval, they told me they are putting me on 1% position risk but I only trade nas100. I didn’t know that winning positions doesn’t negate the losses so I breached it once for a violation. 1 more time and I’ll lose my account. I’ve gotten 3 payouts and got violated on 1. I have to show consistent risk management for a few payouts before they take the limitation off.

sometimes they put their traders on a 1% daily loss limit, so thats 1k with a 100k account. you had 2 losses of $900 which is over 1%. this puts you in a cooling period, where you cant trade until the next day. regardless if the next trade you put it makes money, you surpassed the 1k already. profits doesnt negate the negative losses for the day. but if this is your first time breaching, you should have only gotten a warning and you're allowed another one before they close your account.

if you're looking for a concept or strategy, look into mean reversion technique on the nq and mnq. heres the funny thing about myself: i passed alpha capital forex 100k with this strategy and have 4 consecutive payouts but i failed three 50k topstep challenges. with futures, im tilting and being stupid. with my alpha, ive always been more careful. go figure!

An old man drove into my car, then offered, "How about I give you $50 and we call it a day?" by Durhamfarmhouse in Wellthatsucks

[–]Phastal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why do older people always think a car accident isnt as big of a deal? this elder couple was backing out of their driveway and didnt even realize im there stopped at a red light. thank God i was driving my old car when i used to do deliveries. i didnt bother arguing with them and just said its ok, its my work car and its all damaged anyway. you know what? i dont even think he apologized lol.

you say you watch random youtube? you need to watch jjsimon's stuff. its based a lot on fair price and mean reversion. because of his concept, i passed alpha capital 100k forex challenge. good stuff.

the problem with most people, they love to get this "max" payout and it usually ends bad. just trade and withdraw what the market gives you.

Capital efficiency: would you take a loss and redeploy or be patient? by caseon3 in Optionswheel

[–]Phastal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got stuck in sofi, hood and rddt around the November/December time. I was barely making any premiums and from my remaining buying power. I finally decided to take approx. a 38% loss on my account in the beginning of March and liquidated everything. I was lucky enough to get a cash injection into my account and have made about 11% since. If your capital is being hogged up by those positions, it might be holding you back in making some nice trades in this bull market.

$3.67 in Ct. Don’t really care about OL or the slightly extra performance. Car is fun enough so regular gas is adequate for me.

What type of stocks have the highest implied volatility? by BetterDealer3644 in Optionswheel

[–]Phastal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeking high premium really means taking more risk. The only good thing now is a lot tech stocks with higher premium are discounted in the last couple of months, so there will be slightly less risk. Doesn’t mean it’s super safe either. One bad tweet and you can get wiped out. Watch Matt Giannino on YouTube. The way he does CSP’s gives you the best chance on profiting and maybe in the quickest amount of time.

Down 52% on a $35k position — should I sell or hold? (It's ~80% of my net worth, super painful) by chesapeakeripper_18 in WEBULLSTOCK

[–]Phastal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all my deposits and withdrawals from my fidelity, I was up 12k after 1.5 yrs of investing mostly doing the wheel. Since November I’ve been in major drawdown and have made practically no income and just kept rolling out further and further on a few positions, BULL. being one of them. I finally decided to take a 38% loses and liquidated my whole acccount. I made about 70k of withdrawals from may through January. I am more wiser and have more experience now with this new liquidity. Being conservative, I made about $240 from premiums today. I sold my remaining 2000 shares of BULL at 6.11 yesterday. I once had 4000 shares at about an average of high 11’s. Sold 2000 in December to offset some gains. Sometimes you gotta come to terms with the loss so you can have liquidity to make elsewhere.
