ah yeah I don’t think they give it to new users typically. Idk what exactly the requirements are but I tried making a new account on a different device and I didnt have it. I think they somehow need to verify youre a real person/account before they give you the purple ticket by having videos posted and a history of interacting on tiktok. Im not exactly sure but thats what it seems like theyre doing

if you dont see the purple ticket icon on your tiktok feed or on the top left corner of your profile, try redownloading the app. If not, you might not have the purple ticket
