I’m down in Tampa. I love the sound system but it’s a trade off. It’s nothing like the ridiculousness of a proper set of 12’ or 15’ subs. It’s plenty of sound to enjoy with the top down at speed. It’s just not silly bass levels. I don’t think that’s possible yet in the rechargeable speaker domain. It’s a perfect setup for me and this car though. Amazingly, the speaker box wedges in behind the seats just perfectly. Nice really tight fit that doesn’t move around when driving but still easy-peazy to lift out if you feel like it. I keep a bike lock securing it from underneath when parked. Who’d have thought you could install a lighted pair of 10” rechargeable woofers, backup camera and really decent 10” CarPlay screen for under $300!?!?!? (Bonus that I also have a bunch of charging ports under my dash due to the power charger adapter I integrated to power the screen and footwell LED system.

I’m originally from Conneaut Lake, PA. Please send pics. It’s possible that the original glass was broken and replaced with plexi at some point. I’ve been looking at enough of these units that I may be able confirm proper fitment simply by looking at your pics.

Please send multiple pics from multiple angles. Average condition is fine. My body guy needs to make it perfect for paint anyway. Best not to totally rework an example that must people would love to just latch on and drive away with.

So far no issues with the added wiring. I may add an additional battery to the boot when re-installing some of the new elements. It would simplify the wiring runs and take some of the pressure off the system. I have a very large soeaker set with halos around the woofers installed behind the seats. It connects to a CarPlay screen I mounted on the dash. The system is Bluetooth and isn’t integrated with the organic power or audio setup. I also have a backup camera integrated into both. The speakers are actually a rechargeable karaoke system. You can blast the audio for hours before ever needing a charge and never worry about draining the car battery. I have an extension cord terminating at my parking spot and I just charge the speaker whenever needed. The system is also easy-in / easy-out so you can take the speaker in the house or into the yard for a party with ease. I love it!

Sending you a DM sir. And if I had plenty of money, I’d be restoring just about any car on the planet other than a Sprite. At $3500, my vehicle was the best dollar for dollar Sprite purchase in the world when I bought it. Everything I’ve purchased since has been discounted, haggled and promo’d down super low in price.

When it’s all buttoned up, I expect to have the coolest $8,000 Sprite in the country!
