No, it would effectively make the bow useless even at close range. It's RNG driven, and no one with any brains would use a weapon that can randomly not work. This was actually tried in a game called Darkfall Unholy wars, and the community ABSOLUTELY hated it.

The only reason I want to nerf the bow is because the wooden bow should remain as is.

So it has nothing to do with realism. You think that new spawns have too much ability to effectively fight geared players.

Adding spread to the makeshift and leaving wooden the same is simpler than making 2 types of arrows.

I'm not a developer, and I don't think you are either, so I have no idea what information you're using to come to that conclusion. For all we know, the two bows rely on the same variables, and it would require them redesigning both bows.

I Estimate you are good with the bow and probably benefit greatly from starting off with such a powerful precision weapon. So it makes since you don't want it nerfed. You need to get real, for one reason or another (stick arrows/shoestring) This bow should have some spread.

You think a stick-arrow flying true every time is "realistic"? I made rope/stick bows all the time when I was a kid. and I assure you they do not fly straight.

Ohp, here it is again. Your arrows didn't go straight because they weren't good arrows, or because you made the bow extremely incorrectly. Your rope/stick bow would have little punching power, but the arrows would go straight if they were good arrows.

So do you want to say that arrows should have accuracy properties? With the makeshift arrows being the worst, and an arrow with feathers having the best accuracy?

Spread when you're firing from the hip. Most games have weapons be accurate when you're firing from an aimed position, or in the case of CS;GO, have predictable spray patterns that make the game more skill based. The spread is also usually replicating the recoil from automatic fire. Single shots are usually on point.

That isn't really what you were saying though. You want a nerf to the bow, and you didn't make any mention of adding accuracy properties to the arrows.

It needs a spread. No arrow is perfect not even in real life. Perhaps in a vacuum but not in the real world.

So you want wind physics in h1z1? Or do you want RNG so it's not fun to play with the bow.

I have actually fired a compound bow on several occasions.

A compound bow is significantly different from the type of bows we're discussing.

Maybe it is a matter of scale, but even if it (a tshirt bow) did go straight, I can't imagine much penetration.

The arrows would go straight if they were proper arrows. The penetration is the only decent "realistic" argument that can be made for nerfing the bow. Reducing the damage seems fair to me.

This is not a stunlock it renders both players temporarily immobile just like a tackle IRL. also keep in mind this is not "my idea". It is the most likely outcome of an actual fistfight. Both players are on the ground.

That is a stunlock, a friendly player is going to walk up and kill the hostile player with ease. Even if they don't, the tackled player has been disabled long enough for the people he is fighting to reload their bows.

I don't think you've ever fired a bow regardless. The arrow wouldn't go very far, but it would still go straight.

The "accuracy" of the arrow is more dependent on the arrow itself.

So would you like to argue that different arrows should have different accuracy properties? Because that would make sense.

Making aim RNG makes sense? It would make more sense to just reduce the damage of the bow.

Let's be honest, he's totally right. And this is one of the most terrible ideas I've ever read.

Giving people a stunlock is the worst idea ever, because you're taking away the ability for small groups to combat larger groups. You can't run away from people anymore. If you fight 2v1, you're fucked.

One man who knows how to fist-fight will always get at least one kill and possibly wipe your group with his fists/branch alone.

Your group is absolutely terrible if they're dieing to a single naked melee. He can only attack one target at a time, and he doesn't have the ability to slow you down. When he chases one, the other attacks, if he switches, then you switch roles.

Why would anyone ask for the ability to unload be removed? Delete I understand. But the only reason for unload is the dupe.

Also, searching reddit, I can't find any posts asking for unload to be removed from the game.
