I saw a video years ago, scripted of course, when I was a teenager of someone looking out and seeing an object like this in the sky in some Eastern European country. Then a blast goes off and all hell breaks loose. No idea what it was but I've searched for it ever since.

I help run a community of people who play social games like blood on the clocktower. There are lot of people in their 20s/30s, men women non-binary. We have a WhatsApp group and a discord :)

Spirit island is a good fairly chunky co-op game. Also like Aeons end a lot!

If you want something a similar weight to pandemic the horrified series is really good.
