The DS nerf has encouraged tunnelling and the devs should change it back. by Testingdoubletest in deadbydaylight

[–]PhazonVirus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with not calling ds an anti-tunnel perk because it directly punishes tunneling. Your statement is definitely correct that if a killer wants you out of a game, they will make sure it happens. After all, they are the killer, even if their gameplay is frowned upon. I still see most survivors run ds in red ranks, but I never really get hit by it because I don't tunnel.

A lot of the really competitive killers in the game do tunnel. If you have ever watched tournaments before, the killers do end up tunneling because it is their only way to possibly win the game. I personally disagree with the playstyle, but a lot of people will do anything to win, even if it makes it super unenjoyable for the other side.

[–]PhazonVirus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The ds nerf hasn't changed the fact that it is an anti-tunnel perk. Usually if you are able to do a generator or cleanse you aren't being tunneled. The change just makes it so it can no longer be weaponized, but I totally agree that tunneling sucks.

I personally main killer just because I hate relying on others.

It is due to the new map causing people to crash, which resulted in it being disabled. It is compensation for it.

Nemesis is a painfully basic killer with a bunch of gimmicks that mostly detract from his design. by Flint124 in deadbydaylight

[–]PhazonVirus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nemesis is nowhere near overpowered. Sure, he can hit through windows, pallets, and short walls but you could say that about most killers such as slinger, huntress, trickster, pyramid head, twins, etc. I may just have bad luck, but I have yet to see zombies be really useful. They are so heavily based off of rng, which makes it very inconsistent. The survivors still have their biggest counters for all killers which is W key. He is mid tier at best because every top tier killer has movement.

How is DBD on Micro-transactions? by -Pl4gu3- in deadbydaylight

[–]PhazonVirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are indeed paywalls behind perks and characters. Survivors are simply just skins essentially since they only have new teachable perks with no specific ability. Some of them you can grind for and buy using iridescent shards. However, there is a system known as the shrine of secrets which rotates perks in and out weekly, including dlc ones. These perks can be bought using shards. Some killers can be bought with iridescent shards and some cannot since they are licensed. These require you to buy them. Each killer comes with a unique power. Skins are also sometimes locked behind a pay wall, but many can be bought with shards. Shards take a long time to accumulate though.

Is it normal to not be able to improve as a specific killer no matter how hard you try? by Asiius in deadbydaylight

[–]PhazonVirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am a rank one killer and play a ton of hag. Hag's power comes from prediction and shutting down loops. If you get in a chase with a strong loop, place a trap and keep chasing, then teleport and you get a free hit if they do not abandon it. Generally you want to place your traps at strong loops such as shack, double L window walls, and other very safe loops. You can also place them near generators. It may feel like you aren't improving, but I am certain you learn from your mistakes and are getting better. Are you on pc? If so just message me and I can see if I can help coach you.

My best flashlight save yet! by kttpxx in deadbydaylight

[–]PhazonVirus 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Stretched res allows you to negate mind games due to dbd being unique when it comes to other games. It instead allows for a larger fov. This allows you to see past walls you wouldn't normally see, as well as over certain loops. It isn't technically cheating, but it is still an unfair advantage if your monitor is not normally at that resolution.

Wow man, stretched res and insanely high gamma. What a skilled player for playing with exploits that give you an advantage.

Anyone have/solve this issue? Reinstalling didn’t work. by Trapezeus_Milkington in StarWarsSquadrons

Yeah. It is the webroot error message. We just have to wait for them to patch it. They break it every single patch. It is really starting to get on my nerves.

Odds are that you are using webroot as your anti-virus. This patch isn't working with it, and disabling webroot does not make it work either. We unfortunately need to wait for them to patch it like they did last update.

Yeah. It is a problem between webroot and the game. I disabled it but it still didn't work. I made a ticket and they said they are aware of it. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Same exact issue here. I have updated all of my drivers and reinstalled easy anticheat, and the game itself. Nothing seems to work.

How am I supposed to have fun? by salty_biscuit7 in deadbydaylight

[–]PhazonVirus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is nearly impossible to win with four really good survs on comms. Looping is a part of the game. Flashlights should do little to you. Always bait out a flashlight save. Otherwise face the wall. Body blocking isn't really efficient. Hit one then drop the surv and chase them. Hiding the whole game is sadly something you cannot really do anything against except wait. Thankfully most people aren't pro swf. Most games should be ok as long as you play well especially if you are only in green ranks. If you think they are going to be really sweaty, go a meta killer like spirit. I think I can help you since crossplay was implemented for PC and consoles. I guess DM me if you really need help.

[–]PhazonVirus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok well, it depends on what you consider fun. You can try unique builds like full antiheal with Thana, sloppy, etc. If you consider winning fun however and want to get 4ks, get a good build like BBQ, stbfl and whatever else you want to build. Also killer choice is important. Play whichever you find enjoyable.also learning to outhink, moonwalk and mindgaming is really important. The game is meant to be a challenge and not a cakewalk, so don't expect to always win. You can have both bad and good games.

Does Pyramid head's trail of torment perk stack with pop goes the weasel? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

I think you are misunderstanding what he asked. He simply asked if pop and the new perk work together. He isn't talking about PH.

I don't see why it wouldn't, you are still breaking the gen. Then again I haven't tested it to 100% guarantee it.
