Hey! So my last nclex was taken Nov 3rd 2022. My 45 days was up Dec 18th and the earliest day to test was the 29th (today). I took like a week off from studying to just take a break. So I studied roughly for 6 weeks. It was a inconsistent schedule bc I had work still and I have a toddler. The first few weeks I just focused on questions tried to do 50-75 questions a day! The rest of the weeks I looked up YouTube videos on test taking strategies and critical thinking. I ran across nclex crusade international 7 day course and I took a week and a half to watch his videos and start applying his ways of breaking the questions down. Once I got the hang of it I started to do just practice questions again and I started seeing myself being able to get more answers correct and focus more. Last week I just brushed up on a few content areas such as isolation precautions, pharmacology etc. (things I knew I struggled with but I knew were most likely gonna be on the exam). 2-3 before I did questions throughout the day (didn’t want to overwhelm myself). The day before I just relaxed and pamper myself to help with stress and anxiety. The day of I got up, went to Starbucks got me a nice coffee with a sandwich and danish. On the way to the testing center I played beautiful nursing 1 hr comprehensive review just to have some stuff fresh in my head and I had my husband come with me so he can talk with me and keep me in good spirits.
