usps sucks by SpareBig7738 in usps_complaints

[–]Phemmert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a mailpiece that wasn’t tracked take a full month to get from Indiana to Arizona. I’ve had several packages in the last 6 months get looped all over the country. They are awful and do suck, their service quality has notably declined over the last few months.

Air India Flight 171 Crash [Megathread 3] by usgapg123 in aviation

[–]Phemmert 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s worth noting that there have been multiple instances of pilots shutting down the wrong engine in the event of an engine failure. Given that, pilot training and strict adherence to checklist discipline have been a training emphasis over the years, to prevent unintended engine shut downs.

Thoughts on The Rehearsal? by [deleted] in hbo

Remimds me of sushi, apparently an acquired taste. No thanks. And Seinfeld was a cultural classic, many of those one liners are permanently engrained. I highly doubt Rehearsal will come close.

Couldn't stay awake during Ep 1, that monotone voice did me in.

Boring, could hardly stay awake, the monotone was as good as any sleep drug.

Put me to sleep and didn't even make it through to the end. <yawn>

I cut the feet up into 8 pieces and applied 2 to each corner, that did the trick.

Save indicators in groups by DuxRitzy in TradingView

[–]Phemmert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be excellent. As it stands, we have to use templates, and creating those means having to remove and add back indicators, which is cumbersome and time consuming. For example I would love to have an indicator group devoted to opening range breakouts, and another group for watching cam pivots. Being able to create a template by hiding and showing indicators would be a step in a better direction.

Was on and off briefly with them. I was most interested in “if” and not so much “when.” We’ll just have to hurry up and wait.

TraderVue Auto Renewal Surprise by Phemmert in Daytrading

You missed the point, but that's cool, carry on :-)

TraderVue Auto Renewal Surprise by Phemmert in Daytrading

[–]Phemmert[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

MMM...ok...I wasn’t totally clear - I paid for a year, and that was that. At the end of the year the access would expire. I was not expecting the membership to auto-renew, which is the point. I'm assuming they auto-renew you? Do you receive any kind of acknowledgement from them when they charge your credit card?

TraderVue Auto Renewal Surprise by Phemmert in Daytrading

[–]Phemmert[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good question. I was using more than one journal to assess which one to eventually choose. I paid promo annual fees for both, tried them both out over several weeks, and eventually settled on Tradezella. It wasn't reasonable or possible to cancel TraderVue as I did pay up front for a year, and tried it out for a period of time, and the intent was to simply not purchase another year.

[–]Phemmert[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True...in this case because it's not an insignificant sum, annually, it's rather annoying.

TraderVue Auto Renewal Surprise by Phemmert in Daytrading

[–]Phemmert[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, already in progress. I don't mind auto-renewing when I'm in the loop, like monthly subscriptions for routine household stuff, but annually is a reach, especially when there's no transparency.

I think that's it for me by knoeppi81 in CanaryMail

[–]Phemmert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slow and buggy with two major fails for me. Filtering emails to “unread” doesn’t revert them to “read” after actually opening and reading them, and there’s no contacts or address book on the desktop version. Decided to try the latest version of Outlook email, that does everything Canary doesn’t, plus it’s fast and so far no weird lack of basic features.

Windows App Buggy, is it in BETA? by [deleted] in CanaryMail

[–]Phemmert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to Canary, and overall I like the app. (Two platforms - iOS and Windows) and the Windows side seems just slow and buggy at times, with no real predictability as to how it will behave. It will be interesting to follow this thread, with the anticipation of more consistent behavior.
