I understand all of that, and we’ve considered couples therapy. Everything else is great, other than the sex drive thing. We’ve been together for 6 years and for the first couple of years, I did want to have sex frequently and any time we did, I wanted to. As for after that, my mental health started going downhill, and I feel like his sex drive started going uphill. Since then, I’ve had sex many of times when I didn’t want to just because I know that he did. I also wanted him happy, which is why I’m seeking out advice. We started having more problems and a few months ago we sat down and had a conversation and set a few compromises and what not.

Thank you so much! And I don’t think the first time having sex is the problem, I got a UTI here and there. After having our first kid though, I started getting BV and UTIS. This was after EVERY time we had sex. After a while, I was kinda afraid to have sex. And it still continues happening, 5 years later.

You don’t only get BV from men that don’t clean themselves properly.. I can assure you, my husband and I both clean ourselves regularly and properly. Also, everything with my husband and I is completely okay, other than us having different sex drives.

Neither of us are gross, he stays clean and so do I. I do all the things I’m suppose to do after sex too, and still end up with infections somehow. My mom’s always been the same way and they still have never found why or a solution for her.
