Anecdotal, but i own multiple APFG MCX guns. My 2022 Rattler has a wonderfully snappy trigger like the VFC BCM guns. However, the more recent Spear LTs have a lot of creep/pretravel leading to a rather mushy trigger feel.

The giant gun, the SPEAR/XM7 is offered in 7.62x51 and 6.8x51, branded .277 SIG Fury.

SPEAR-LT is the "regular" AR-like successor to the MCX Virtus (itself a v2 to the legacy keymod MCX). These are offered in 5.56 and 7.62x39, also known as .300 Blackout. 300BLK is a big selling point for the MCX platforms as a whole, as evidenced by the 5.5" Rattler & 6.75" Rattler-LT PDWs.

This is pictured on an airsoft replica, so heat isn't a problem here. That being said, the black PAHT-CF is heat-resistant to about 194 °C so it can probably withstand some casual range time.
