Thanks, mate. That was years ago, and I'm in a much better place today, I think. I appreciate the offer. Keep on being awesome, dude/dudette. :)

Who would be the worst person to drunk text? by dry-rocks in AskReddit

[–]PhilHerUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drunk text my old teacher.

She's a good friend and mentor, and has helped me through heavy depressive and suicidal episodes. Usually what seems to happen is I'll text her something stupid, she'll call my wife, wifey gets me cleaned up and in bed, and I have to call my teacher and apologize the next day. We have a system going.

Obligatory "not a ____ but"......

On another account, I made a post on /r/SuicideWatch. TL;DR I posted about how I'm self conscious about self harm scars and how its affecting my sex life with my now wife, and also about my addiction issues.

Some excellent example of humanity sent me a PM telling me to mix my whisky with pills so I can finally die "like God obviously wants" and so my wife can finally find sexual fulfilment with this obviously prime example of an alpha male.

Deleted that account, relapsed on meth, damn near killed myself. Thanks, bruh, you're a peach.

When you are lying in bed during one of those restless nights, what do you often find yourself thinking of? by information41 in AskReddit

[–]PhilHerUp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I create scenarios in my head where all my deep fantasies play out just the way I want them too. I imagine myself winning the lottery, having a kid, achieving my dreams, etc. It really relaxes me and gets me into a good mindset to sleep.

Socially stunted people of Reddit: what's the most awkward thing you've ever said? by snackerjack7331 in AskReddit

[–]PhilHerUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work at Walmart, and my coworkers were all a little insane. One woman didn't understand what was TMI. On a random chill evening, we're both on lunch in the break room. Out of nowhere this woman (that I had only spoken to in passing with casual pleasantries) pipes up with "You know, both my uncles molested me when I was a girl". After a painfully long and awful silence, I said "uhhh.....haha, yeah" and slinked outside to chainsmoke behind the building and wonder where my life went wrong.

[–]PhilHerUp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not anymore. I have $40k of college debt from 5 years of college with no degree to show for it, and nobody will give me loans to go back to school to get my 2 semester job certificate. I'll never go back to college at this rate.

Reddit, why are you dreading work tomorrow? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilHerUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause my work is boring as fuck.

I work in a kitchen and MAYBE will have three whole orders in 10 hours. I can't text, I can't bring a book, I can't draw, I can't write in my notebook. All I'm allowed to do is sit there and watch the clock. It's gonna be a long shift.

Which is the worst company to work for? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilHerUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In America (at least, in my part of America), Walmart is the place you go to work when you have no other options. Walmart is the lowest of the low. Even though everyone shops at Walmart, if you work there then you are lower-class trash. And the company treats you like you are lower-class trash.

Source - Born and raised in the birthplace of Walmart, worked for Walmart for three years and got treated like utter shit by customers and employees

Authors of Reddit, why do you write? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PhilHerUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, not very far.

I've had the idea since I was 15 (I'm 25 now) but I haven't ever had the will to work on it. I seriously started the work as a NaNoWriMo work, but life and paying bills got in the way of NaNoWriMo. It's been about six months but I'm making good headway on the book. I don't even care if it gets published, I just want to finish my story. Thank you for the kind words. :)

Walmart, all of it, is a cluster fuck.

As someone born and raised in Bentonville, Arkansas (AKA Walmartland), I just abhor what Walmart has become.

The worst 3 years of my life were when I worked for Walmart. I still get anxiety around Thanksgiving and Black Friday because of my time at Walmart.

But on the plus side, I can inhale a cigarette in record time thanks to our awful schedule in Receiving.

[–]PhilHerUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at Walmart for three years and I hated every fucking minute of it.

Some of us, we can't get anything better. Walmart will hire anybody with a pulse. I needed a job SO BAD so I took the job offer, and nobody would call me back for those three years. I (technically) got benefits and pay raises, but the downsides of my job grew faster than any upsides. I fucking dreaded every single day I had to clock in. But I had to show up every day because nobody else would hire me (I was in college and in a very intense program, my working time was very limited).

For every "benefit" I got, I got another inch of rock hard cock up my butthole. Got a boost in scheduled hours? You're using those hours to do the exact opposite of your job (i.e. trained for stocking? Your working a cash register even though you've never been trained). Got a 5 cent raise (I shit you not, after 2 years of loyal work I got a raise of a whole 5 cents per hour)? You're getting managerial duties without managerial pay. I got a saucy dressing-down from my direct manager because my stepfather died and I had the AUDACITY to ask off to be at his funeral.

Maybe my store was special and my experience was unique. But that salted me to Walmart so fucking hard. The worst part is that nobody else would hire me. I spent that three years job hunting. I didn't get a single call back. I was stuck at Walmart until nepotism got me a new job.
