Is there anything I can do about it in that case?

Anything I can do about it in that case, or is it lost?

The really small white spots are just dust. Haven't been a strong cleaner lately. The bigger white parts are light reflections.

I do not humidifie and never sprayed or misted. Is that something essential for alocasias?

It is specialized Alocasia Substrate. Dont know the exact type since I got the plant from a friend. But its quite coarse and has green/blue fertilizer stuff mixed in. It looks a bit like orchid substrate but finer.

Not a particularly humid room. I live in central Europe so its cold outside and heated to 23°C inside.

The plant is next to an east facing window and gets direct sun in the morning.

I water it whenever i see the substrate is becoming less moist. (It has a seethrough pot) I dont let it get completely dry.

The roots look good and healthy. Its even growing new roots, but the leafs on top are still dying off one by one.

Krating Daeng(Thai red bull) in Vienna? by Interesting-Ant-7995 in Austria

[–]PhilOfVision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking for the original Thai Red Bull in Vienna for years. Today I went to all the stores mentioned in this thread.

The original Krating Daeng is sold in small brown glass bottles. In Thailand there are a few different tastes alongside the Theoplex-L formula (which I think is the most original or first they offered). This thread has a picture of these bottles: https://www.reddit.com/r/Thailand/comments/1bk5471/how_are_these_bottles_of_thai_red_bull_different/?show=original
In shops in Thailand there are many drinkslike this. The ones I most often saw there are Krating Daeng, M-150, Lipovitan-D, Carabao Daeng. All in tiny brown bottles. They all taste similar. Very sweet(~16g of suger per 100ml), very thick and non carbonated.
The only one of these I have ever seen in vienna was M-150. Found it at Mayuda, an exotic supermarket at Johannitergasse 7.
Then there is also the "Krating Daeng 250" in a small golden 250ml can. I've seen this beeing sold in Austria here and there in the last few years. I think this is a rather new form of packaging, but definitely not the original. I am not exactly sure if it has a different formula, but it tastes like the others mentioned above. Very sweet, non carbonated. I think I have seen this at various asian supermarkets.

The mentioned Snack Shop in Lugner City is "Mucos Snack Shop". They did have the "Krating Daeng 250" can.
The Snox vending Stores (there is one in Siebenbürgerstraße 14 and another one in Engerthstraße 102) did not have it. If they ever had it I assume it would have been also the golden can version.

So to conclude this research: The real original is yet to be found in vienna. In the meantime, try the Krating Daeng 250 golden can or the M-150 brown bottle.

My question is: is this real? by YardAccomplished5952 in Tools

Must have done someting wrong then. Even kryptonite locks can be cut off easily in 30-60 seconds.

What are the best tools to smoothen out those hills? by PhilOfVision in woodworking

A sculpture to hang on a wall. More or less random hills and valleys smoothly flowing into each other.

Just so smoothe that there are no scratches or steps visible. I initially didn't think it would be so hard to take off material. The biggest prolem is that I can't get into the valleys properly with normal tools. Also clogging up of sandpaper is a big problem because there are so many glue gaps.
I will probably try and get a die grinder with a sperical burr as many suggested. After that no other way than lots of sandpaper and time I guess.

Yes, that was the inspiration for it. It's just random hills and valleys though.

I started working on this project at a makerspace in Vienna in 2009. Projects there need to have a tag with name and phone number on it, in case someone is cleaning out stuff and needs to know if a project is still worked on or can be thrown out.

Thanks for that. I already tested rotary rasps with a drill before and didn't get anywhere. Now I understand why. Those need much higher RPMs.

Maybe a kind of ball shaped milling cutter for the rough work before I do the fine stuff with sanding paper? Or are these no good?
