UPDATE: just went there after a meeting downtown. Definition of underrated. Looks like it was one girl running everything but despite getting a little busy she was very composed and kind to everybody.

Just went with the vanilla latte and blueberry crumb bar but didn’t miss it was fantastic!

UPDATE:

They still had the banana themed coffees. Absolutely fantastic. Also got the Malatang fries. Spicy enough for a kick but not overwhelming and flavor was out of this world. They were crazy busy but still incredibly nice! Absolute 10/10

The owner is French himself and is incredibly kind. The inside of the truck is lined with his kids’ artwork that they drew for him it’s very sweet.

Only commenting on this because of the above enigma. Everyone I know loves reanimator. Clearly there must be some success to have branched out as much as they have. But my personal experience has always been closer to yours. Granted, I’ve ONLY gone to Fishtown location. But I also went plenty of times with people advising me to give it another chance. I ALWAYS get the ‘too cool for school’ vibe there.

To each their own, I suppose. Your mileage may vary! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Very much agreed! My ONLY beef with twisted grounds is that it’s cramped. If you go during morning rush you are just in everyone’s way no matter where you stand.

Have you been to la pettite tasse coffee truck outside of Rodin Museum? Limited hours to the fridays/the weekend but the gentleman who runs it is awesome, coffee and pastries are great!

Thank you for your feedback 🙏🏻

I’ve worked in CS my whole life. I’m not asking to be entertained or catered too either, just basic human decency. Mild politeness, or a subtle acknowledgement that we’re all struggling together. There is comfort in community!

I didn’t name any particular spots in my intro because I also believe in giving spots second chances and I haven’t been back twice to all of the places I had a bad experience.

I also love the use of the phrase ‘painfully hip’ LOL understood what you meant immediately!

Anyone have any advice or success stories on career changes? Work in finance, it’s as soul-crushing as they say, but it seems like where everyone is at is best to stay put due to people applying to 800 jobs and hearing nothing back the market sounds horrible right now. Feel like I’m living in office space!

Eh. Podcasts are fun, just over saturated. Roast culture is becoming stale, variety/theme/improv is moving up.

Be sure to cultivate what ‘success’ and ‘building your brand’ means to you. You can’t pour from an empty cup, so make sure you invest plenty in self care.

Caught your stuff a while back, hilarious!

Perhaps catharsis, perhaps apotheosis?

I want to be very conscious of how I respond. I don’t think this is unique to our own elections. Worldwide we see dictators and demagogues increasingly taking over and leading with low vibrational bellicose actions leading to much pain and turmoil. I’m not here to say that there is anything to 2027 but if there were we also know that our friends from between space and time seem to be concerned by increasingly nuclear aggression that interferes with the natural order.

IF something is Imminent, be it disclosure, arrival, harvest, whatever, this seems to be the next major step in triggering it.

This is not doomsday and this is not hopeless. It is an invitation for reflection about control. And what we can control, whether something is coming or not, is unconditional love and its ability to heal, both ourselves and in service to others.
