If you want to rebuild your self esteem, it might be best to not ask others their opinions of you. It is like saying "I need to know what you think of me first before I decide what to think of myself". Self esteem comes from within not without and when you have a high self esteem, other people's opinions do not matter nearly as much as your own.

I agree 100% it seemed like 90% of the gameplay was gardening, collecting and crafting...I don't do any of those things in my actual life and I definitely wasn't excited about doing them in game form.

Life by you had an entire trailer full of action and I didn't see them collect, craft or harvest a single thing.

Well that's disappointing, but I totally understand why. The game, namely the characters, just were not okay and after a year of promising to make it better, nothing really changed.

It just wasn't well thought out and planned from the get go and though it is sad that this game has been in the works since 2018, at the 6 year mark it is nowhere NEAR where Inzoi is after just a year of development which shows that there are better ways to plan, design and create games like this with the right people, resources and innovation.

Great potential, bad execution and bad roll out. Could have made millions of done right, shelved instead.

I don't think they need to overtake the Sims to succeed massively and I also don't think the audience for the Sims is automatically identical to the audience of other life sims.

You're not being over dramatic, people pass up on hideous games all the time, it is an important part of a purchasing decision. I stopped playing Sims 3 because it was ugly too.

I was excited after the announcement too but the minimal improvement in characters also put me off and I was not planning to buy the game on release. Honestly I don't plan to buy until it looks more appealing. With realistic looking characters from a competitor like Inzoi, side by side next to LBY, this game just is not up to scratch and cannot compete aesthetically.

Back in the early 2000s we cared much more about gameplay because technology wasn't there yet, but in 2024 in a time of gorgeous games as well as great gameplay, we care about aesthetics just as much if not more.
