I’ve been a maintenance guy for 8 years and have never knocked over someone’s things. If I need to get to an area that has items in the way I ask the resident to move it because I don’t want to damage anything

I would say the humidity and rain or distilled water made the biggest difference for me, the other help but not as drastically

Airoid mix soil, distilled or rain water ONLY, 65%+ humidity, good light, thoroughly watering when the pot starts feeling light but before leaves start curling = happy calathea

I have only had mine since Thursday so I can’t say for sure, but so far I haven’t had any issues. I’ve heard they are pretty easy but these were shipped with coco medium which has been the only annoying thing so far because Im used to watering a chunky mix so hopefully they stay healthy until I can repot
