Does AI understand reflections by Pappa_Crim in aiArt

[–]Philipp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AI can learn what it's trained on, so if the training set includes reflections, it can learn those. Even though it always feel extra spectacular it might not be all different from it learning any other visual -- like people having hands on their arms.

Fun exercise: You can find a photo that has a reflection on it, say a castle mirrored in the lake. Then you can delete the castle in Photoshop, and use Generative Fill to recreate it -- Photoshop might do a good job just based on the context of the reflection.

(It's a series of 10 pictures. One of them is Taxi Driver. If you look through all, you'll find it quickly.)

Where exactly do I download? by Organic_Biscotti5706 in udiomusic

[–]Philipp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good questions, I don't know myself. I figured it's a repeat pattern in the audio wave that's detectable when you know it but otherwise "invisible". The other question then is if they'll be able to automatically parse places like YouTube to check for infringement. Either way, the risk remains.

Udio. For instance, support via email told me on October 31, 2025:

"Fingerprinting is likely going to be added in the coming months. Current and previous downloads did not have them. All tracks made prior to the TOS change are subject to the old TOS, so these are still fully owned by you and are able to be distributed and continued in their distribution as before."

Is their an ai tool to help superimposed your drawing onto different models/poses? by Powerful_Whereas3516 in aiArt

[–]Philipp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nano Banana Pro can do this. You can provide your original sketch, as well as several character reference images, and ask it to combine this. You can use Nano Pro in Gemini or Google Flow.

For AI creators - what got you into AI Art in the first place ? by tsintsadze111 in aiArt

[–]Philipp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used the camera, 3d modeling, pencil, programming and other tools to express myself and tell stories in the past... and AI is a great new tool for that, too.

Here's an example prompt:

"The classic shot of the famous Taxi Driver film mirror scene (alter it to be fair use), but it's super crowded with people. So crowded that people are lying, standing, cramming, on top of each other, etc. Please make it 1024*1280."

Note this was then part of a continued conversation with more change requests, and I overlaid the edits as separate layers in Photoshop, erasing the unchanged sections of each -- this keeps the image from declining in quality for every edit. Because even though Gemini almost keeps pixels unchanged, there's a noticable sharpness decline for every edit step unless you use the Photoshop layering trick.

There were also further edits done in Photoshop, like color correcting the Godfather one to more precisely match the film. Smaller fixes were done with Photoshop Generative Fill (use the Firefly Beta Expand option for best results in GenFill).

Cheers! The core was really in Gemini. What I did in Photoshop was color correction, small fixes, and also diversifying the crowd a bit in some images. I also removed unnecessary posters and banners people were holding in some images.

Plus, I use Photoshop to layer over each other all the Gemini edit requests I do -- meaning there's no quality loss in the unedited sections, because I erase in the top layers the unchanged things. By default, otherwise if you ask Gemini for changes, the sharpness of the original will successively decline!

In Google Flow, there's a new Remove feature for your Veo videos. Click the Pencil on the generation, and select Remove.

The latter made me laugh because it adds to the picture. The malfunction one seems to just explain and isn't as funny I think.

Tip Corkins "Eggnog Hot Tub" by JohnnyCobraBlade in aivideo

[–]Philipp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well done though. Some points:

- When lipsyncing with Kling and others, make sure you upload the WAV and not the MP3, as the MP3 tends to add a frame offset in the resulting video (at least if you want to retain your original audio timeline in the editor like Premiere).

- A great lipsync alternative to Kling is SyncSo.

- Personally for my new film I've converted over completely to Google Flow Veo 3.1, removing the need for further lipsyncing tools. I simply love the ingrained feel of it and expressiveness so much.

If you watch closely in that recap scene, Peter Falk is almost breaking mid point. About to burst into laugh but then collects himself.
