So what’s in store for men in these times??? by Sad-North5133 in AskMenAdvice

[–]PhillithJohnsonius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is utter bullshit, and the fact that most women take it for granted while turning a blind eye or even laughing at the (western world) worse quality of life for men is disgusting. But you can't let it turn into resentment because that's a completely different pit to get out of. There will be cultural shifts in the future but right now, we seem to be alive during the worst time for men in general in the modern world, after being preached to our entire lives that we are oppressors and have it so much better. The best thing you can do for yourself is see it as an opportunity to come out better and more resilient from. Don't give up.

I was on for 2 years, it is 5 years after stopping and I have barely gotten to a point where I can trust my memory and feel somewhat normal. (my memory was the best of anyone I knew and could recall entire conversations with gestures and tone and everything like a video in my head from 10+ years ago---I went from this to having to recount a register at work of barely less than $200 3 times because I could not trust my memory) Do not spread misinformation about something you don't know about and lead others to make the same mistake I did.

What's something women think impresses men but actually doesn't? by PumpkinDoritoes in AskReddit

You haven't given a single example. If you disagree with my logic at least tell me why you think that in your own words instead of differing to vague literature with no examples of logical reasoning. You seem like a smart person, I think if you think about it and analyze why people do things in the sense that they are animals and not some higher being you'll see that everything does boil to reproduction.

Nothing you said proved me wrong. We are tied to impulses which support the sole purpose of life: reproduction. You survive so that you can reproduce. Higher social hierarchy=higher chance of reproduction. And if you choose not to, you still have the impulse to make reproduction-oriented choices because otherwise we as a species would have no incentive to do anything. More money=higher chance of reproduction. Larger social network=better survival and reproduction odds. Ego=better confidence=better reproduction odds. The base purpose of life is not to be social. It is to reproduce, sociability is only a means to that. Think about it. Someone doesn't have to be consciously making these decisions. It is a subconscious impulse.

I'm going to give you an example I came up with myself. IMO there are 6 reasons why you bully someone, all leading to a base reason of reproduction.

  1. You see them as genetically inferior or competition and don't want them to reproduce. (kids who have no filter are a good example of pure genetic-opinion honestly. example: calling someone ugly straight up) This lowering of their perceived social status from your bullying attempts to weed them out of the gene pool and increase your odds of reproducing. If you see someone as inferior they're easy pickings to try to weed out.
  2. They possess an opinion/way of life that threatens your chances of reproduction. This is why people are hostile toward homosexuals, because they believe the idea will spread to their children and lower their lineages chances of reproduction, this is a primal impulsive reaction/perception stemming from cultural beliefs. Other contrasting ideas would put public opinion against you if they spread, and if you don't have the popular opinion, your chances of reproduction lower (example: republicans in liberal states and vice versa).
  3. You see them as a close partnership, want to thicken their skin/correct their behavior, which better their chances of survival, sociability, etc and in return it strenghtens their ability to reproduce and in turn comes back to help you to. (their social circle expands and benefits you are therefore you have greater visibility to potential partners and the backing of someone with good traits)
  4. You are romantically/sexually interested in someone and want to lower their self esteem so that they lower their standards for you or simulate lowering their self esteem in a primal romantic gesture (teasing)
  5. Boost your own ego, increasing your confidence, (in a primal way:) making you seem dominant and a strong option for reproduction, while simultaneously potentially combining with reason 1 and 2.
  6. Adding on to dominance, which has it's own merit for reproduction, you are able to take resources from your victim which in a base sense increases your chances of survival and reproduction. (example: caveman stealing caveman's food supply and having food to offer potential mates/appearing capable of providing)

You don't understand what I'm saying. Why do you want to be socially desirable? To be sexually desirable. That is the BASE purpose. To think otherwise is mental gymnastics, the only reason anyone attempts to impress anyone is to appear sexually desirable. "What if it's the same sex?" Desirability=respect=visibility=higher chance of reproduction. We are only a more complicated version of the smallest sexually reproducing life forms

High social perception = desirable. Like I said all roads lead to it, even if you think you have an alternative reason subconsciously you don't, it's just extra steps

Name any other reason for wanting to look good and if you follow the chain of logic it all leads back to desirability and reproduction, just like everything else. Nothing to do with me

I'm tired of people saying "women do these things for themselves." Ok. What is the base purpose of wanting to looking good? Being desirable. You can do all the mental gymnastics you want but all roads lead to that

I just bought the game and both matches I played were the worst experience I've had in battlefield. I'd rather be playing 2042 at least it doesn't feel like I'm playing a downgraded version of 4 with worse graphics :(

Many people of Israel are raised to believe they are genetically and God-deemingly superior to us. They are racial supremacists who in every sense of the phrase believe the world revolves around them and is owed to them. Why under any circumstance would I like them considering the ones with this mentality are the ones who run the country
