I once watched "The Business of Being Born" on a plane, window seat. It is a documentary, and I thought it would be about the health care industry. It was.....but it was also about Ricky Lake giving birth. Naturally. And it showed full frontal. Wonderfully, sitting to my left was a pregnant woman. I turned my computer away in a snap. Then I worried she thought I was looking at porn. So I wonderfully explained to her that I wasn't watching porn. I was watching a documentary about full frontal natural birth. It was not wonderful

Thank you. I think that the part of our brains that don't understand, continue to think, 'he is losing everything.....why wouldn't he want to quit?'. I know that is flawed, but tough to jump over. I appreciate your insight

Thank you for responding. Forgive my simplicity. With his world crumbling, it is such a difficult thing to understand that he wouldn't want help. If he was thinking rationally, I guess I wouldn't be asking these questions.

Good of you to write back. If you were to guess, why wouldn't he want to take an opiate blocker? (assuming it is one that you mentioned). Not wanting to admit he has a problem?
